The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Defense and Space (BDS) Space Launch System (SLS) Financial Operations team is seeking a highly motivated Financial Planning and Controls Senior Analyst (Level 5) to join our team working on the largest and most powerful rocket ever produced in the history of mankind.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with teams within the SLS Program and the BDS Finance organization and will be based out of Kennedy Space Center, Florida (Cape Canaveral). This position offers relocation assistance for qualified candidates.

You will provide strategic financial and cost management analysis, preparing information for briefings to all levels of Finance and Program Leadership for review and approval.
Boeing is looking for a SLS Financial Planning & Controls Senior Analyst based out of Kennedy Space Center, Florida.
The successful candidate will desire to understand the business (intellectual curiosity) and gain product knowledge, be highly motivated and organized self-starter with a high attention to detail as well as be adaptable, have sense of urgency, and be able to manage and prioritize work effectively.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location above.
Position Responsibilities:
Strategic Earned Value Management (EVM) Leadership:
Serve as the Subject Matter Expert in Earned Value Management within a DoD context. Translate complex EVM guidelines into actionable insights and strategic recommendations for program leadership. Deliver daily and weekly cost reporting, maintain financial controls, and support baseline and Estimate at Completion (EAC) system integration. Lead the review and validation of change documents (CDs) and performance measurement baselines, providing clear communication of cost and schedule trends to influence decision-making at the executive level.
Accounting Expertise & Financial Analysis:
Leverage a strong accounting foundation to oversee and validate programmatic cost and fee billings, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Prepare and present monthly financial reporting deliverables for both internal stakeholders and external customers, ensuring transparency and alignment with organizational goals.
Strategic Estimate at Completion (EAC) Management:
Lead the integration and analysis of quarterly financial EAC reporting for multiple contracts, transforming raw data into strategic business insights. Develop and implement data analysis strategies to inform the SLS FP&C Manager, CFO, SIWS VP, and BDS Controller. Analyze forecast changes, assess risk and opportunity profiles, and provide actionable recommendations to senior management to optimize financial performance and strategic planning. Co-lead the development and consolidation of the annual Comprehensive Estimate at Completion (CEAC).
Process Improvement & Operational Excellence:
Drive continuous improvement initiatives by implementing enterprise best practices and fostering employee engagement. Develop and execute project and process plans, establish policies and procedures, and set operational goals that enhance quality, cost efficiency, delivery, and customer satisfaction.
Collaborative Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement:
Build and maintain strong partnerships with program leadership, peers, and functional leaders to align financial strategies with organizational objectives. Lead the development of financial reporting summaries, risk and opportunity registers, and customer deliverable summaries that elevate the clarity and impact of financial communications.
Award Fee & Performance Feedback:
Provide insightful feedback related to award fee areas of emphasis, supporting leadership in optimizing contract performance and financial outcomes

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
5 or more years of experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
5 or more years of experience performing Estimates at Completion (EACs)
5 or more years of experience with financial processes and systems
5 or more years of work experience with the Microsoft Excel application using: formulas, VLookups, pivot tables, charts, filters, and linking worksheets
5 or more years of experience taking data and deriving meaningful information through analysis and data visualization
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):
5 or more years of experience using financial analysis for the purposes of decision making
5 or more years of experience preparing and presenting to executives, senior leadership, and external customers
5 or more years of experience with Financial processes and systems: COBRA, COGNOS, Open Plan, or other equivalent financial EAC systems
5 or more years of experience with major/minor estimate at complete (EAC) development
Experience working with NASA programs
Willing to work 5 days a week onsite at the listed location
Experience leading teams
Proactive self-starter who possesses a positive work attitude collaborate effectively to build strong partnerships with key stakeholders
Experience functioning in a cross-functional environment
Proven ability to handle competing priorities while providing level-headed decision making during unexpected events
Desire to understand the business (intellectual curiosity) and gain product knowledge
NASA Access:
This position requires the ability to obtain access to a National Aeronautics and Space
Administration (NASA) facility.
