The Boeing CompanyThe Flight Simulation | Labs organization at The Boeing Company is currently seeking a first level F-15 International Lab Engineering Manager to lead a team responsible for F-15 International Lab Development for the Flight Simulation Labs Organization located in Berkeley, MO. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization. The Flight Simulation | Labs organization provides a comprehensive simulation and laboratory solution for the design, development, integration and deployment of Boeing defense products.
The F-15 International Lab Engineering Manager will be responsible for technical execution of the design, development, testing, and delivery of complex Avionics Hardware/Software/System integration facilities to support CONUS lab testing prior to final delivery to various OCONUS International customer locations.
In this role, the Manager will coordinate and operate with F-15 International Program Management counterparts to provide technical execution aspects to a Program Management Best Practices (PMBP) approach to program management, integrated planning and scheduling activities on various F-15 International Programs.
The position will manage an engineering team performing multiple engineering tasks including requirements development, hardware development, software development, verification testing, system analysis, and simulation/SIL deployment and testing. The engineering leader will be responsible for developing and executing project plans, acquiring resources for project development, developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, providing technical oversight on team activities, leading process improvements, and employee development.
Position Responsibilities:
- Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering
- Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
- Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
- Participates in program operating rhythm to include recurring program performance and management reviews, program risk/issue/opportunity (RIO) process, and EVMS activities
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
- Responsible for lab compliance activities in accordance with AS9100 including cyber security, physical security, safety management, and configuration management
- Manages, develops and motivates employees
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
- A final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
This position requires the ability to obtain clearances for Special Access Programs.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry
More than 3 years of experience leading an Engineering project or Engineering team
Demonstrated ability to provide a high level of customer satisfaction
Strong communication skills – written/verbal
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
More than 3 years of experience leading or managing projects involving cross-functional or cross-business unit teams Avionics Hardware and Software development, integration, and testing experience
More than 3 years of experience managing projects using Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
Experience working directly with DOD and International Customers leading or participating in Program Milestone Reviews and Meetings
Background in Mission Systems engineering development activities
Simulation or System Integration Labs experience
Experience leading multiple parallel development schedules

Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Travel:
Occasional domestic and/or international travel may be required and would be about 10%.
Relocation:
This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Basic relocation will be offered for eligible internal candidates.

Summary pay range for Manager: $141,100 - $190,900
