The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Company is looking for an Experienced or Lead Structures & Payload Design Engineer to join the Design Center South located in Huntsville, Alabama, Titusville, Florida, New Orleans, Louisiana or Houston, Texas. This position will focus on the structural design and product definition for Boeing platforms to include space vehicles, launch systems and payloads, commercial aircraft, UAV, ground vehicles, and various defense industry platforms and products.
Position Responsibilities
- Structural design and model-based product definition using 3D CAD
- Product data management systems
- Interpreting customer requirements into complying with product designs
- Drawing generation and release
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- Experienced, level 3: Typically, 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
- Lead, Level 4: Typically, 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
- 9+ years of design experience, preferably with modern aerospace or defense industry platforms
- 2 years of experience with Creo, Catia or NX CAD software
Relocation:

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Experienced Level 3 Summary Range: $90,100 - $129,950
Lead Level 4 Summary Range: $113,050 - $163,300
