This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable.As part of a hardworking and dedicated team of specialists, you will be responsible for the development, management, and execution of integrated tests and operations for various spaceflight systems. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of bringing our vehicles to life, from creating test plans and procedures to verifying vehicle design and function. This role is a dynamic blend of test development, strategic planning, hands-on execution, and data analysis.
You will work across subsystems to support integrated solutions, playing a key role in the procedures and software automation used in both test and launch operations. By contributing your expertise, you will directly influence the safety, reliability, and success of our missions.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with design and systems engineering teams to define and plan integrated vehicle tests, ensuring they effectively verify system requirements.
- Author, review, and maintain test procedures, and manage real-time procedural updates during test campaigns.
- Serve as a Test Conductor or Test Engineer, with direct responsibility for the safety of personnel, the test article, and the execution of the test plan.
- Lead and participate in critical test reviews, such as Test Readiness Reviews (TRR), to ensure all aspects of a test are prepared for safe and successful execution.
- Define requirements for, and support the development and operation of, Ground Support Equipment (GSE) needed for testing.
- Coordinate test crews, vehicle configurations, and all support equipment to ensure seamless test operations.
- Analyze, review, and archive test data to evaluate system performance and support vehicle verification.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues discovered during test and checkout, working with integrated product teams to find solutions.
- Champion and enforce safety policies and best practices throughout all phases of test planning and execution.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering
3+ years of current technical hands-on experience in one of the following domains: Fluids, avionics, or mechanical
Developing, authoring and updating test procedures

- Avionics Systems Test Engineer As an Avionics Systems Test Engineer, you will be responsible for validating the "nervous system" of the launch vehicle. Your domain will encompass testing flight computers, navigation and control systems, power distribution and storage, and electrical harnessing. You will lead test campaigns to verify hardware performance, software functionality, and end-to-end communication across the vehicle, troubleshooting electrical systems and ensuring the integrated avionics architecture is robust and reliable for flight.
- Fluid Systems Test Engineer As a Fluid Systems Test Engineer, you will focus on the hands-on testing and operation of the vehicle's high-energy fluid systems. Your expertise will be critical in leading hazardous operations involving cryogenic propellants (LOX, LNG), high-pressure gases, and reactive hypergolic or peroxide systems. You will be responsible for verifying system performance during critical mission sequences like propellant loading, pressurization, and engine operations, with an unwavering commitment to safety in all pressurized and hazardous environments.
- Mechanical Systems Test Engineer As a Mechanical Systems Test Engineer, you will be responsible for verifying the vehicle's structural integrity and the functionality of its complex mechanical systems. Your domain will involve hands-on testing of electro-mechanical and hydraulic actuators, integrated mechanisms, and other flight hardware. You will lead tests to validate that these systems perform as designed within a closed-loop, software-controlled environment, troubleshoot non-nominal behavior to determine root cause, and ensure the vehicle is mechanically robust for all operational conditions.

Required for Certain Job Profiles: Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10,001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification (obtained before onboarding), Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing (CDL drivers only), vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training.
Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
