This role is part of the Blue Origin Engines business unit, where our focus is the design, development, manufacturing, and testing of engines and propulsion systems. Built for multiple uses, our family of engines is powering the next generation of rockets for commercial, civil, national security, and human spaceflight.

As part of a small, passionate, and accomplished team of experts, you will support the VP of Engines – Advanced Programs and the team located at our Renton office. We are seeking a proactive, service-oriented individual with excellent administrative and organizational skills who can thrive in a fast-paced environment. This position will impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention toward safe and repeatable spaceflight.

We’re seeking an experienced, mission-driven Senior Administrative Assistant who thrives in complexity, anticipates what’s needed before it’s asked, and moves with discretion, urgency, and precision. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Executive Support - Work closely and effectively with senior management to keep them well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, following up appropriately. Exercise sound judgment while maintaining a realistic balance among multiple priorities.

  • Calendar Management - Manage the leader's calendar meticulously. Plan ahead carefully, coordinate meetings, and ensure the schedule remains current despite frequent changes. Book conference rooms as required across offices located in various time zones.

  • Travel and Expense - Arrange travel plans for leadership in Navan, detailed itineraries, and meeting agendas. Process expense reports promptly and accurately using Concur. Business travel for this role may be required.

  • Stakeholder Relations - Build strong relationships with vendor personnel. Demonstrate cultural awareness and time zone sensitivity in all communications.

  • Reception and Visitor Management - Maintain a professional and welcoming demeanor when greeting guests. Manage visitor registration, badge issuance, and security protocols according to company standards. Verify all visitors while adhering to safety procedures.

  • Offsites and Team Building Coordination – Assist in the preparation of your team’s itinerary, travel and events from concept to completion.

  • Work closely with the Admin Community for leadership cross-functional items.

  • Coordinate and assist with new hire onboarding process.

  • Print badges and tool chits for employees and contractors.

  • Maintain office centers/kitchen supplies.

  • Project Management - Work independently on projects from conception to completion, including office workspace setup, conference room management, procurement, internal communications, event organization, and key customer meetings.

  • Task Execution - Complete critical deliverables with precision and timeliness, prioritizing multiple tasks with excellent attention to detail. Handle competing demands proactively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Problem Solving - Demonstrate proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capabilities. Execute responsibilities with high attention to detail and flawless precision, especially under deadline pressure.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years of experience supporting senior level executives.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and high customer service capabilities and delivery.

  • Demonstrated expertise in administrative support and problem-solving skills.

  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

  • Familiarity with AI and similar tools to drive efficiency.

  • Experience supporting executives in an aerospace environment.


 

Compensation Range for:

WA applicants is $40.46 - $56.64

  • Required for Certain Job Profiles: Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10,001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification (obtained before onboarding), Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing (CDL drivers only), vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training.

  • Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
