Entrepreneur in Residence — Founder's Office (Internship, m/f/d)
Job Description
3–6 months · Starting ASAP · Munich preferred · Remote (EU) possible
## TL;DR
Work directly with the founders to build and scale a new product or business unit end-to-end at a YC-backed legal tech company. This is a high-ownership operator role for someone who wants to learn how new ventures are created inside a startup — from idea to launch to revenue.
## About Beglaubigt.de
Legal processes in Germany and Europe are still slow, fragmented, and deeply offline — notarizations, company formations, registrations, certified translations, business addresses, and more. Beglaubigt.de is rebuilding this infrastructure from the ground up: digital-first, API-ready, and designed to operate at internet speed. Backed by Y Combinator, we process thousands of cases per year and work with banks, platforms, and service providers across Europe.
## The Role
You will work directly with the founders to build and launch new products or business units inside the company. This is not a typical internship. It is a mini-venture builder role where you will own initiatives from concept to execution.
You will:
- Identify new product opportunities and business models
- Build initial go-to-market strategies
- Coordinate across product, operations, sales, and marketing
- Turn early traction into scalable business units
## What We Are Looking For — Top 1% Across Four Dimensions
- Analytical thinking — You break down markets, customer problems, and business models logically and turn insights into clear decisions.
- Execution speed — You move from idea to implementation quickly — testing, iterating, and improving constantly.
- Ownership mindset — You take responsibility for outcomes, not tasks. When something matters, you drive it forward until it works.
- Structured problem solving — You turn messy problems into clear plans, processes, and measurable results.
## Who Thrives Here
- You think like a builder, not just an analyst
- You enjoy taking ideas from 0 → 1
- You are comfortable with ambiguity and rapid iteration
- You care about measurable business outcomes
- You work independently and take initiative
- You communicate clearly and operate with high ownership
## Background
Strong candidates typically show one or more of the following:
- Background in business, economics, engineering, or related fields
- Experience with startups, venture building, consulting, or operations
- Experience working on new products or projects
- Evidence of initiative (projects, startups, leadership roles)
- Top university background (e.g., HSG, WHU, TUM, LMU) is a plus
## Requirements
- Fluent in German and English
- Strong analytical and structured thinking
- Ability to operate independently
## What You Get
- Direct exposure to founder-level decision making
- Hands-on experience building a real product or business unit
- High ownership and steep learning curve
- A high-performance environment
## Logistics
- Duration: 3–6 months
- Start: ASAP
- Location: Munich preferred, remote/hybrid in Europe possible
Interview Process
Our hiring process is designed to be fast, respectful, and signal-driven. Expect ~2 weeks from first contact to offer.
1. Culture call (30 min) — Motivation, fit, and mutual expectations. You meet one of the founders or our Head of Ops. We care as much about how you operate as what you've done.
2. Case study (~3–5 hours) — A real problem we're working on. We want to see how you think, not how polished your deck is. You present your approach and findings in a 30-minute discussion.
3. Founder call (30 min) — Deep dive on your work, your ambitions, and our current bets. You meet one of the founders (Alex or Felix).
4. Trial day (paid, on-site or remote) — One working day inside the team. You ship something small and real. Both sides see if the chemistry and the craft fit.
5. Offer — Usually within 48 hours of the trial day.
We typically move from first call to offer within 10–14 days. Feedback after every stage, whether we move forward or not.
