Our mission-driven team is seeking a bold and dynamic Senior Test Engineer to support Extra-vehicular Activities (EVA) Systems Engineering and Integration who is fueled by high ownership, execution horsepower, growth mindset, and driven to understand our world, science/technology, and life itself, for the benefit of all on Earth and beyond.
POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for an energetic and dynamic Suits Test Engineer who will primarily be responsible for leading major testing campaigns for the AxEVA System. This position reports to EVA Systems Engineering and Integration Manager. This role is onsite and will be based at our Gemini facility.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Define and manage integrated Qualification test events including developing test products and managing test schedule across all engineering teams, in alignment with our core value of integrity.
Coordinate with external test facilities demonstrating competency of communications.
Conduct test readiness reviews with internal and external stakeholders.
Collaborate with system and subsystem engineers, program office personnel and customers for V&V planning, scheduling and execution, in alignment with our core value of together and demonstrating our competency of teamwork.
Prepare presentations for peers, management, and external customers and partners related to qualification and verification, demonstrating our competency of problem solving.
Capture evidence from completed verification activities to create verification closure notices and coordinate requirement close-out, demonstrating our core value of leading.
Travel as needed for test events. (Less than 20%)
Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering (aerospace, electrical, mechanical, or related discipline).
A minimum of 5+ years engineering experience with a minimum of 2 years in Testing, V&V or a combined equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in the full test life cycle from test concept, to planning, coordination, execution, and close-out activities.
Experience with NASA human spaceflight programs desired, with related experience in the testing of spacecraft, spacesuits, space vehicles. Experience with Space Suits is preferred.
Experience with simulator/hardware test development and execution is desirable.
A strong attention to detail while appreciating the bigger picture of the complex and ambitious projects.
Excellent writing and presentation skills with experience communicating to senior decision-makers and technical audiences.
Experience in Start-up organizations a plus.
Experience with environmental test campaigns such as TVAC, Vibe, and EMI/EMC are preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.
Requirements
Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
Management has the prerogative to select at any level for which the position is advertised.
Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as needed to meet critical project milestones.
Physical Requirements
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time)
May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time)
