This is a senior individual contributor role that combines hands‑on execution with senior‑level judgment and stakeholder leadership.

The role requires direct involvement in practical deliverables such as statutory financial statements, audit support, and tax compliance working papers, while also leading discussions, providing recommendations, and driving resolution of complex legal entity‑specific issues in a multi‑country environment.

Job Mission

In addition, this role plays a key foundational role in defining and stabilizing Finance Operations processes for new legal entities, ensuring they are compliant, scalable, and aligned with ASML global standards.

  • Support tax audits, customs audits, and internal audits.

Tax Compliance & Transfer Pricing

  • Review and oversee Corporate Income Tax, VAT/GST, and other local tax filings.
  • Review Transfer Pricing adjustments, BEPS/CbCR requirements, and related accounting and disclosures.
  • Hands‑on preparation and review of key tax compliance deliverables, including Corporate Income Tax calculations and supporting working papers, in coordination with external advisors.
  • Identify and escalate tax risks and compliance issues in coordination with expert advisory teams.
  • Maintain and monitor tax-related SOX controls and compliance frameworks.

Finance Operations Ownership & Design for New Legal Entities

  • Act as the Finance Operations owner for assigned legal entities, ensuring statutory and tax compliance is embedded in day‑to‑day operations.
  • Take end‑to‑end ownership of legal entity‑specific issues and projects, from problem definition through resolution, alignment, and implementation.
  • Define and establish end-to-end Finance Operations processes for newly established entities, leveraging existing ASML best practices and adapting them to local regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure Finance Day‑1 readiness, including process design, controls, documentation, and system setup support.

Cross-functional Collaboration & Advisory Role

  • Lead and influence discussions with internal stakeholders and external advisors to drive conclusions on complex legal entity–specific matters.
  • Seek expert input where required and provide statutory and tax-oriented guidance to jointly resolve Finance Operations and compliance issues.

Senior Individual Contributor & Team Leadership

  • Provide technical guidance and review support to other team members within ABS FO.
  • Serve as a senior escalation point and subject‑matter expert for statutory reporting and tax compliance matters.

Education/Experience:

  • 10 - 15 years’ experience in finance including experience in statutory reporting, external audit coordination, and tax compliance in a multinational environment.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and solid understanding of financial accounting principles, with the ability to interpret and apply local statutory requirements.
  • Professional accounting certification (e.g., KICPA or other CPA qualification) is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Prior experience in an audit practice of an accounting firm (Big 4 or equivalent) is a strong plus.
  • Experience in new legal entity setup, Finance Operations stabilization, or process design is an advantage.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP environments (SAP preferred).

  • The team values openness, ownership, and practical problem‑solving, and works closely across Finance and non‑Finance functions.
  • Senior team members are expected to lead by example, share knowledge, and actively support the growth of others.
