Job Description
Responsible for Korea payroll operations to ensure timely execution and local compliance (payroll, tax, social security etc.)
Responsible for the end-to-end payroll process for Korea local employees, impatriate and expatriate (including monthly payroll calculation, bonuses, allowances, deductions, and termination settlement)
Manage payroll-related data collection such as taxable/non-taxable benefits, BIK items, allowances, and other compensation inputs
Support administration of Korea social insurances (National Pension, National Health Insurance, Employment Insurance, Workers’ Compensation), including monthly reporting and annual filings
Support Korea specific employee documentation collection (dependent information, tax exemption documents, etc.)
Support annual statutory adjustments and filings/payments (year-end tax settlement, social insurance annual reports, labor insurance reports, etc.)
Provide payroll payment execution and bank reconciliation for monthly payroll and statutory payments
Provide GL reconciliation and collaborate with Finance teams for open item clearing
Prepare Korea employee payroll-related cash forecast and annual budget
Support employee communication regarding payroll, tax, and statutory benefit matters
Support both internal and external payroll audits
Conduct technical research on Korea wage, labor, and tax regulations and ensure updated compliance
Support payroll process improvement projects, system enhancements, and transition efforts under Workday/SAP or other HR system implementations
Responsible for execution of designated SOX and internal controls in Korea
Education & Experience >
Bachelor’s degree
Preferred experience in Korea payroll operation using the SAP payroll system
3+ years of hands-on payroll experience, in-house payroll or working at a payroll outsourcing vendor upon experiences of wage income tax, social insurance, and annual tax filing, DC pension reporting
Experience collaborating with cross-functional and cross-regional teams preferred

Analytical and problem-solving abilities
MS Office skills
Team player with a collaborative approach
Ability to work extended hours when needed (e.g., year-end tax settlement or regional projects) and collaboration with cross-regional counterparts
