Finance Internship: Support the Treasury Department

Introduction

ASML’s Treasury department manages global cash flows, funding activities, and financial risk for the company. You will join an international team that works across Europe, Asia, and the United States to safeguard ASML’s financial stability. The team operates in a fast-paced environment where deadlines are tight and actions have direct impact on financial results. This internships allows you to contribute to important ongoing projects while learning from experienced professionals. You will help us improve processes and insights that support Treasury’s daily operations.

Your assignment

You will work as a full member of the Corporate Cash and Financial Risk Management team. You will support daily activities and project-related work across cash management, financial risk management, reporting, and legal and compliance topics. You will also contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives that increase transparency and efficiency.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Support financial risk and cash management processes.

• Prepare monthly Treasury reports for senior stakeholders.

• Update work procedures and ensure they are ready for future users.

• Improve reporting through automation and dashboard development.

• Help analyze financial data to support decision-making.

• Contribute to compliance and documentation activities.

• Work with team members on ongoing process improvement projects.

This is a bachelor/master internship (or potential thesis internship) for minimum 5 months, minimum 4 days per week (2 days on-site). The start date of this internship is as of 1st of July 2026.

Your profile

To be suitable for the internship, you:

• Are a final-year bachelor’s degree or master’s degree student in business economics, finance, or data science.

• Show strong interest in treasury topics, financial risk management, reporting, or data analysis.

• Are familiar with business intelligence tools such as Power BI; programming knowledge is a plus.

• Work in a structured and accurate way and communicate clearly with others.

• Enjoy solving problems, take initiative, and work well in a project-based environment.

Other requirements you need to meet:

• You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship;

• Attach your cover letter with a clear motivation why you are interested in this internship assignment in particular;

• You need to be located in the Netherlands to be perform your internship. In case you are currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter includes the willingness to relocate.

• If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).
