Hours: 37 hours per week (half-day Friday)

Prestwick Aerosystems is proud to continue Ayrshire’s long-standing aircraft manufacturing tradition. From our Prestwick site, we manufacture aircraft wing structures used on Airbus commercial aircraft worldwide. The Opportunity:

To lead the team and undertake the day-to-day management, coordination and development of a large Operations Team to successfully execute customer contracts and meet agreed customer schedules, specifications and cost targets.

How you will contribute to the team:

· You will lead, motivate, and appropriately challenge your team to drive continuous performance improvement against the company’s Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

· You will provide clear direction and ongoing support to team members, ensuring production targets for your area are delivered within agreed timescales.

· You will ensure production schedules are achieved while maintaining required quality standards, safety regulations, and certification requirements.

· You will prioritise and allocate both direct and indirect resources effectively to meet business and operational needs.

· You will identify and implement Continuous Improvement opportunities, focusing on cost and time reduction, waste elimination through lean practices, and maintaining the highest standards of housekeeping.

About you:

· HND/HNC in business studies or equivalent operational experience within a manufacturing environment

· Effective planning, problem solving and decision-making skills

· Strong technical and lean practitioner skills to drive continuous improvement and cost reduction
