The Operations Recovery Leader will be responsible for driving recovery initiatives across critical manufacturing, supply chain, or operational processes to ensure business continuity and operational excellence. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, leadership abilities, and cross-functional collaboration to address challenges, mitigate risks, and ensure timely delivery of products and services. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of operations management, lean principles, and a track record of successfully managing recovery projects in high-paced environments. As the recovery leader, you will be responsible for driving to meet Melbourne output. The Operations Recovery Leader will play a pivotal role in supporting our mission to protect and connect the world. The ideal candidate excels in teamwork, leadership and collaboration.  

WHAT YOU WILL DO: 

  • Lead and execute recovery plans for underperforming operations cells, suppliers, or processes to meet business objectives. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and quality, to identify root causes of delays or disruptions and implement corrective actions. 

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize production, resource allocation, and workflow to drive improve OTD performance. 

  • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders regarding recovery progress, providing timely updates, presentations and reports. 

  • Perform data analysis and utilize key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor operational performance and identify areas for improvement. 

  • Drive and implement the adoption of lean and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. 

  • Champion risk mitigation strategies to proactively address potential disruptions in the supply chain or production. 

  • Increase factory flow and implement lean tools to drive increased output 

  • Mentor and guide team members to foster a culture of accountability and innovation 

  • Strategic planning of manpower and material to support factory level loading and tactical planning on a daily basis to maximize labor and equipment utilization 

  • Advocate for change and continuous improvement 

 

QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE: 

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience. 

  • 9+ years’ experience in a leadership position in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience leading a recovery effort in a manufacturing environment.  

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals.    

  • Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment 

  • Experience using analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively identify and resolve issues and mitigate risks.    

  • The ability to remain focused under pressure to assess and resolve challenges.

The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
