Aircraft Performance Engineer for On-Board applications (F/M)

Job Description:

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for an Aircraft Performance Engineer for On-Board applications (F/M) to join our Flight Physics Department based in Toulouse, France.

You will be part of a team developing On-Board Performance Applications. As part of the Engineering Aircraft Performance team, you will be involved in designing models and algorithms aiming at optimizing flight efficiency and enhancing safety for our customers.

Your challenges:

• Contribute to the design and improvement of On-Board performance functions (e.g., FMS, ROPS, TOS) to optimize flight operations.

• Develop and validate surrogate performance models and algorithms for system implementation.

• Perform Verification & Validation (V&V) activities regarding performance functions and data, including laboratory tests and flight analysis.

• Analyze In-Service Flight Data to evaluate function performance and propose operational enhancements.

• Drive digital transformation initiatives within the team, focusing on task automation and data science tools.

Your boarding pass:

• Aerospace Engineering background or related discipline.

• Strong knowledge of Aircraft Flight Physics, Flight Operations and Cockpit environment.

• Proficiency in IT (scripting, data science) and surrogate modeling techniques.

• Proactive mindset with strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team.

• Advanced level in English and French.
