Postgres is the most popular database period, but running it in production is hard. We're building scaling tools, like load balancing and sharding, to make Postgres the one database you'll ever need.

PgDog is written in Rust. We use some Ruby for our web stack, currently. We also use Postgres, of course.

PgDog is a high performance proxy that understands how Postgres works, in and out. We optimize for the user experience and performance, without sacrificing either one.
