
Senior Antenna and RF Research Engineer I
Job Description
We are looking to add Senior Antenna and RF Research Engineers to our team. The ideal candidate has both proficient system know-how covering the entire chain from phased-array antenna to IF, as well as deep experience in designing, simulating, building, and testing high-frequency active phased array antennas. The primary focus is on, though not limited to, PCB-based multi-beam antenna systems for space and airborne applications. As a member of the CesiumAstro advanced development team, you will be helping to define the company’s antenna technology roadmap and aligning research efforts with business development insights and company strategy. Tasks include keeping up to date with latest antenna research, proposing and contributing to concept studies, and presenting research results and strategies to stakeholders.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

MSc or PhD degree (preferred) in electrical engineering.

Minimum 2 years of industry or university research experience covering antenna design, RF systems design, and RF prototyping and test.

Expert-level proficiency in EM and RF systems simulation, optimizations and corresponding tools (as a minimum CST, HFSS, ADS).

Expert-level proficiency in at least one high-level programming language like Matlab and Python.

Expert-level proficiency in antenna range and over-the-air measurements including setup, test planning, and calibration.

Extensive hands-on experience with lab instruments such as vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and oscilloscopes.

Proven track record showing the ability to define work direction, track milestones, and demonstrate progress on large open-ended projects.

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

Experience with EM/RF optimization software.

Experience with EMI/EMC standards and test procedures.

Metrology knowledge applicable to measurement result analysis.

Aerospace electronics design, development, and qualification.
