Job Description
Apptronik is a human-centered robotics company developing AI-powered robots to support humanity in every facet of life. Our flagship humanoid robot, Apollo, is built to collaborate thoughtfully with people, starting with critical industries such as manufacturing and logistics, with future applications in healthcare, the home, and beyond.
We operate at the cutting edge of embodied AI, applying our expertise across the full robotics stack to solve some of society's most important problems. You will join a team dedicated to bringing Apollo to market at scale, tackling the complex challenges like safety, commercialization, and mass production to change the world for the better.
JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly motivated, versatile, and execution-oriented Contract Technical Sourcer (6-month minimum) to support our fast-paced hiring needs across software, hardware, and product teams.
In this role, you will not be restricted to a single technical specialty; instead, you will float dynamically across multiple disciplines to build high-quality talent pipelines for our Mountain View, CA office. Additionally, as the sole recruiting team member sitting in our Mountain View location, you will serve as the operational engine and talent advisor for local hiring—taking on critical responsibilities to partner with local site leadership and cross-functional interviewing teams to coordinate, host, and facilitate all CA office-specific on-site interview loops.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES or KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to deeply understand technical requirements across diverse engineering domains, including Hardware (ME, EE, Embedded), Software, and Product roles.
- Source qualified passive candidates using various channels, including LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, technical publications, and active networking within deep tech, software, and hardware communities.
- Screen resumes and conduct initial vetting calls, accurately assessing candidates for technical baseline capability, alignment with role scope, and cultural add.
- Act as the primary on-site Talent Acquisition representative and strategic partner for the Mountain View office. Collaborate closely with local site leadership and cross-functional interviewing teams to coordinate, host, and facilitate all CA-specific on-site interview loops, ensuring a seamless, high-touch experience.
- Manage candidate pipelines and applicant tracking system (Greenhouse) data entry with a high degree of accuracy and compliance.
- Provide regular, data-driven pipeline updates to hiring managers and the broader People team regarding talent market conditions across software, hardware, and product landscapes.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Proven ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and fluently pivot between sourcing for software, hardware, and product management domains.
- Strong interest and hands-on capability in unearthing niche talent using creative sourcing techniques beyond standard job postings.
- Demonstrated ability to build trusted partnerships with local Mountain View site leadership, diverse interview teams, and candidates alike.
- Outstanding organizational skills with a proven ability to manage real-time interview logistics, scheduling variables, and physical on-site hosting independently.
- Comfortable operating as the lone recruiting footprint in a satellite office; self-motivated, proactive, and resilient through changing business and engineering priorities.
- High proficiency with modern applicant tracking systems (e.g., Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby) and sourcing discovery tools.
- Embodies the company values of Curiosity, Humility, Integrity, Passion, and Creativity (CHIPC).
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years of technical sourcing or full-cycle recruiting experience in a fast-paced startup or high-growth technology environment.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully mapping talent and building pipelines across a mixed portfolio of hardware, software, and product roles.
- Prior experience collaborating with local office stakeholders and running end-to-end interview coordination loops.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
- Vision to read printed materials and a computer screen
- Hearing and speech to communicate clearly with on-site candidates and internal teams
