We are seeking a Technical Program Manager (TPM), Space Systems, to lead execution of critical internal programs across our Space Systems portfolio. This role sits at the intersection of flight software, avionics, and mission operations, ensuring technical efforts are integrated, de-risked, and aligned to mission readiness. This position will be located in the Westminster, CO office and has the ability to work from home two days a week and on-site three days per week.

The TPM will drive coordination across Space Systems, Engineering, and Operations teams to deliver robust, flight-ready capabilities—from software development through launch, early orbit operations (LEOP), commissioning, and across the vehicle mission life. This is a highly cross-functional role requiring strong technical depth, program execution discipline, and the ability to navigate across hardware, software, and mission operations domains in a performance-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end execution of internal technical programs spanning flight software, avionics, and mission operations readiness

  • Drive program planning, scheduling, and tracking, ensuring delivery against technical, resource, cost, and schedule commitments

  • Coordinate across systems engineering, hardware, and software teams to ensure alignment on scope, interfaces, dependencies, and deliverables

  • Partner with TPMs and systems engineers to maintain cohesion and visibility across multiple concurrent programs

  • Lead internal flight software initiatives, including optimization, performance tuning, resiliency improvements, and system hardening

  • Oversee development of edge compute capabilities and manage vendor execution for onboard processing systems

  • Ensure alignment between avionics architecture and flight software to support mission and performance objectives

  • Drive planning and execution readiness for LEOP and commissioning, including timelines, dependencies, and operational constraints

  • Partner with operational readiness teams to develop and validate ground system readiness for new constellations (procedures, tooling, and workflows)

  • Ensure cross-team alignment on concepts of operations (CONOPS) and contingency response strategies

  • Lead risk identification and mitigation across programs, with a focus on de-risking on-orbit operations

  • Drive development and utilization of flatsat and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) environments for integration and validation

  • Partner with systems engineering to define, track, and execute verification and validation strategies to ensure system reliability prior to launch

Minimum Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, or related technical field

  • 5 - 10+ years of experience in technical program management, systems engineering, or related roles in aerospace or complex systems.

  • Experience working with flight software, avionics systems, and spacecraft development

  • Strong understanding of system integration, interface control, and cross-disciplinary engineering coordination

  • Demonstrated ownership of complex, multi-team technical programs from development through operations

  • Experience with Flatsat, HIL testing, or similar integration and test environments

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to operate across technical and programmatic stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting spacecraft through launch, LEOP, and commissioning

  • Background in mission operations or mission control systems

  • Experience with onboard computing or edge processing architectures

  • Active TS/SCI clearance

Why Join Us
