Job Description
Responsibilities
- Drive system-level electrical architecture, defining electrical needs, interface points, and integration strategies across subsystems
- Design and deliver PCBAs, wiring harnesses, and complete system schematics from concept to production
- Perform schematic capture, layout, and documentation using Altium Designer.
- Develop and document wiring harness designs using Rapid Harness, ensuring signal integrity, topology control, and manufacturability
- Work with high-speed interfaces (>1 Gbps) and communication protocols, including I2C, I3C, I2S, GMSL, MIPI-CSI2, Ethernet, CAN, SPI, SSI, and various analog layers
- Use structured risk management tools such as NUDD and FMEA to identify and mitigate design risks early
- Define and execute Acceptance Test Plans (ATPs) for electrical validation, qualification, and production release
- Apply best practices for battery-powered EV architectures, including EMC/EMI compliance and regulatory testing
- Manage and release documentation through Arena PLM, ensuring configuration control and traceability
- Translate system requirements into actionable design deliverables and manage schedule commitments
- Diagnose and resolve complex, cross-disciplinary issues involving electrical, mechanical, and communication subsystems
- Ensure designs meet Functional Safety considerations aligned with standards such as ISO-26262 or IEC-60335
Qualifications
- 5–8 years of electrical engineering experience in production hardware development
- Strong generalist background across multiple areas of electrical engineering (PCB, harness, system integration)
- Proven expertise with PCB design, including schematic capture, layout, and DFM best practices
- Experience with wiring harness design, particularly using Rapid Harness or similar tools
- Familiarity with Arena PLM or equivalent systems for configuration and release management
- Working knowledge of functional safety design principles and relevant standards (ISO-26262, IEC-60335)
- Experience working with high-speed digital interfaces and multiple communication protocols
- Familiarity with EMC/EMI compliance testing and design considerations.
- Strong communication and documentation skills
