About Cymer
Cymer operates the DUV laser business and was acquired by ASML in 2013 to accelerate EUV technology development. Since the acquisition, Cymer has continued to focus on DUV lasers, driving the advanced laser industry through sustained R&D investment.
CYMER Korea Factory currently produces about 30% of global CYMER light source parts and continues to expand to support semiconductor industry growth, supply chain localization, and factory line balancing with HQ in San Diego. With domestic production expected to reach approximately 50% in the future, the Korea factory will play an increasingly critical role in the global DUV market, and active hiring is underway to support this growth.
Role and Responsibilities
This role will be mainly focused on bonded warehouse & material handling.
1) Bonded Warehouse
Own and manage bonded warehouse operations, ensuring full compliance with customs and trade regulations.
Act as key interface with Customs, Trade Compliance, and it may extended external bonded warehouse providers.
Ensure accurate administration of bonded stock movements (inbound, outbound, transfers, scrapping).
2) Material Handling & Flow Execution
Drive end‑to‑end material handling processes, ensuring timely and accurate material flow to manufacturing and other internal customers.
Optimize material movements to balance operational efficiency, space utilization, and risk control.
Address and resolve material handling issues (e.g. misplacements, delays, handling damage).
3) Issue Prevention & Resolution
Proactively analyze bonded warehouse and material flow processes to identify risks and structural weaknesses.
Resolve operational issues such as: Inventory discrepancies / Location mismatches / Customs status inconsistencies
Perform root cause analyses and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
4) Tracking, Reporting & Analytics
Define, monitor, and report on bonded warehouse and material handling KPIs (inventory accuracy, dwell time, compliance adherence, throughput).
Identify gaps and potential risks, translating data into management‑relevant insights.
Use analytics to drive prioritization and improvement initiatives.
5) Logistics Systems & Tooling
Work experience of WMS, ERP, and logistics systems to support bonded warehouse and material handling operations.
Identify system gaps, data inconsistencies, or process inefficiencies.
Drive improvements in : Warehouse master data / Location management logic / Inventory status visibility / Customs‑relevant data accuracy
6) Continuous Improvement & Leadership
Solve logistics and warehouse problems using structured problem‑solving methods (e.g. A3, Lean).
Standardize bonded warehouse and material handling processes within own scope.
Lead improvement projects and contribute to larger cross‑functional logistics programs.
Coach and mentor junior colleagues in operations excellence, compliance awareness, and problem solving.
Education and experience
Bachelor’s Degree or above in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or related field
10~15 years of experience in bonded warehouse operations and material handling process management.
+2 years of people management experience.
Strong understanding of customs regulations, bonded inventory control, and warehouse management systems.
Proven ability to operate in a high‑mix, high‑complexity industrial environment.
Skills
Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence and build relationships at diverse organizational levels.
Analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify root causes, interpret data, and implement effective solutions.
Leadership and collaboration skills to motivate teams and coordinate across internal functions (manufacturing, planning, finance, customs).
- Strategic thinking and business acumen to set-up new process and improvements.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic, customer-driven environment.
