Job Description:
Shield AI is seeking a Global Senior Events Manager to own the strategy, planning, and execution of its worldwide events portfolio. This role is where Field Marketing, Business Development, and brand converge; responsible for ensuring that every event Shield AI participates in or produces advances a concrete pipeline objective.
The Field Marketing Manager is a strategic and operational leadership role that requires the ability to set priorities across a multi-market calendar, influence internal stakeholders, manage external partners, and report results in terms that the GTM teams care about. The Senior Events Manager collaborates closely with Field Marketing counterparts across North America and international markets, as well as Business Development, Product, and Marketing.
What you'll do:
Global program management: Plan, execute, and manage a portfolio of major tradeshows, owned events, and product demonstrations across North America, Europe, the Asia-Pacific region, and the Middle East.
Cross-functional collaboration: Serve as the primary events point of contact for Field Marketing, BD, and Product teams; coordinate logistics, messaging, and goals across departments.
Event tiering and investment prioritization: Develop and maintain a tiering framework that classifies events by strategic value, audience quality, pipeline potential, and cost; use this framework to guide annual budget recommendations and calendar decisions.
Vendor and agency management: Source, contract, and manage external vendors including exhibit houses, AV providers, event staffing firms, and creative agencies; hold partners accountable to timelines and deliverables.
Budget planning, forecasting, and reconciliation: Co-own the events budget from initial planning through final reconciliation; track actuals against forecast and provide regular reporting to Marketing leadership.
Lead capture and pipeline attribution: Implement lead capture processes for each event; work with Marketing Operations and CRM teams to ensure leads are properly tracked, routed, and attributed to pipeline within Salesforce.
Post-event reporting: Deliver structured post-event reports that include attendance data, meeting volume, pipeline influenced, cost per lead, qualitative feedback, and follow-up action items.
Playbook execution: Maintain the events playbook covering pre-event planning checklists, on-site execution standards, post-event follow-up workflows, and vendor evaluation criteria
Process documentation: Document recurring workflows so that event execution is consistent, scalable, and not dependent on any single individual
Required qualifications:
7 or more years of experience in global event strategy and execution
Proven ability to manage multi-event portfolios simultaneously in a fast-paced, resource-constrained environment
Strong project management discipline; PMP certification or equivalent methodology experience is a plus
Working proficiency with event and marketing technology platforms such as Salesforce, Asana, Lodago, or similar tools
Experience building and maintaining pipeline attribution and event ROI reporting
Track record of cross-departmental influence; ability to align stakeholders at multiple levels without direct authority
Familiarity with government procurement cycles and the distinct characteristics of defense exhibition environments
Ability to travel domestically and internationally
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field; advanced degree a plus
Preferred qualifications:
Prior experience managing events in classified or sensitive program environments
Established relationships with major defense exhibition organizers or government event coordinators
International events experience across multiple regions, including Europe and the Indo-Pacific
Background working within or alongside the U.S. Department of Defense, a defense prime contractor, or a defense-focused government agency
