Job Description
About the Role
We are looking for a Product Designer with 3 to 5 years of experience who brings rigorous UX craft and a clear-headed approach to designing under complexity.
In this role, you will own the end-to-end design of product experiences across security dashboards, investigation workflows, and data-intensive interfaces. You will work directly with Product Managers, Engineers, and stakeholders to translate high-stakes security scenarios into interfaces that are precise, trustworthy, and efficient.
This is an individual contributor role. You will be expected to operate with a high degree of ownership, bring a structured design process, and contribute actively to our design system and AI-powered product surfaces.
What You’ll Do at Cyble:
User Research and Strategic Insight
- Plan and conduct user research including contextual interviews, task analysis, and heuristic evaluations tailored to security-focused user personas such as SOC Analysts, Threat Intelligence Analysts, and CISOs.
- Synthesize research into structured artifacts including personas, journey maps, and friction logs that directly inform product prioritization and design direction.
- Collaborate with Product Leads to align design strategy with business objectives and user expectations across enterprise security workflows.
UX and Interaction Design
- Design end-to-end workflows for complex, multi-step security processes including alert triage, investigation flows, threat correlation, and risk reporting.
- Create user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity interactive prototypes that communicate interaction logic clearly to both stakeholders and engineering teams.
- Design for all UI states including loading, empty, error, partial data, and real-time update conditions that are common in live security platforms.
- Apply strong information architecture principles to organize high-density dashboards and data-rich interfaces without sacrificing usability or clarity.
- Iterate rapidly based on usability testing, design reviews, and engineering feedback.
AI-Native Feature Design
- Design product experiences that incorporate AI-generated insights, contextual recommendations, and automated correlation across security data.
- Define UX patterns for AI surfaces including confidence indicators, explainability panels, fallback states, and progressive disclosure of AI-driven analysis.
- Understand and apply guardrail principles for AI features in high-stakes security contexts, ensuring that automated outputs are presented with appropriate trust signals and user control.
- Use AI tools actively in your own design workflow to accelerate research synthesis, generate copy and interaction variants, and explore layout alternatives efficiently.
Interface Design and Visual Consistency
- Deliver production-ready, visually consistent interface designs that comply with established brand guidelines and design system standards.
- Balance visual clarity with functional density, ensuring every interface element earns its place and supports decision-making under cognitive load.
- Apply accessibility standards including WCAG 2.1 AA compliance across all design work, ensuring interfaces are inclusive for diverse user profiles.
Design System Contribution
- Work fluently within a token-based design system, applying semantic color, spacing, and typography tokens consistently across components.
- Contribute new components, usage guidelines, and documentation back to the design system in a structured and reviewable format.
- Identify gaps or inconsistencies in the system and raise them through the appropriate contribution process, collaborating with the UX Lead to resolve them.
Usability Testing and Continuous Improvement
- Plan and conduct usability testing sessions with representative user personas, including time-pressured scenarios that reflect real security incident conditions.
- Translate behavioral observations and product analytics into actionable friction maps and design improvements.
- Maintain a rigorous feedback loop across design, product, and engineering to ensure shipped features reflect validated design intent.
Collaboration and Engineering Handoff
- Partner with Product Managers, Engineers, Customer Success Managers, and Sales to align design decisions with technical feasibility, customer needs, and business context.
- Produce engineering-ready design specifications in Figma including annotated components, interaction notes, responsive behavior, and edge case handling.
- Participate in sprint ceremonies, design reviews, and cross-team critiques to maintain shared understanding and design continuity across workstreams.
- Communicate design rationale and user insights clearly to stakeholders across technical and non-technical backgrounds.
What You’ll Need:
- 3 to 5 years of experience as a Product Designer with a strong portfolio spanning research, interaction design, and visual delivery
- Demonstrated ability to design for data-intensive, complex enterprise products with multiple user personas
- Proficiency in Figma including component creation, auto-layout, prototyping, and engineering handoff, and Claude for AI-assisted design research, ideation, and workflow acceleration
- Solid understanding of UX principles, usability heuristics, and human-centered design methodology
- Experience contributing to or working within a structured design system
- Ability to design all interface states including real-time, empty, error, loading, and partial data conditions
- Familiarity with AI-powered features and the UX patterns required to present them clearly and responsibly
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present and defend design decisions to cross-functional stakeholders
- Experience in agile, cross-functional product teams with structured sprint and review cycles
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, Information Design, Visual Communication, or a related field
- Prior experience designing for cybersecurity, enterprise software, or B2B SaaS platforms
- Experience designing for WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards
- Familiarity with token-based design systems and component governance
- Experience using AI tools to accelerate design research, ideation, or iteration workflows
- Understanding of front-end development constraints and ability to collaborate closely with engineers on implementation
