Head of Engineering
Job Description
Acrely builds production-grade AI Voice Agents for businesses worldwide.
We operate two products: an enterprise platform trusted by the world’s largest banks, airlines, hospitals, and financial institutions, and a self-serve platform that allows SMEs to easily configure their own AI agents.
As we scale rapidly, we’re looking for our first engineering leader to help build and shape our engineering organization from the ground up.
Technically speaking, we’re looking for someone who (1) has experience managing Full-stack production codebases and (2) worked and managed a small engineering team (3+ engineers).
Ideally, you’d have experience with some major pieces of our tech stack:
- TypeScript & Next.JS
- Convex
- Telephony Stack
Culturally, we’re looking for someone who wants to own their work. We’re planning on expanding the team, and as this company grows, so will this role. You will help define what this engineering organization looks like.
What you’ll do
You will own the full-stack engineering team and codebase. You’ll lead a small, high-performing team (initially 4 - 8 engineers) while continuing to ship production code yourself. This is a hands-on leadership role with significant autonomy and direct impact on product quality, reliability, and velocity.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a small full-stack engineering team
- Own architecture and technical direction for our core platform
- Manage production full-stack codebases (heavily TypeScript/Next.js)
- Work closely with founders and product to define roadmap and priorities
- Help shape engineering processes, culture, and hiring as we scale
- Ensure high reliability for enterprise telephony workloads
Interview Process
We won’t waste your time in the interview process, and we’ll be high conviction in our decision. Our interview process will look mimic what real work will look like at our company. We’ll get to know what it’s like working with you, and you’ll get to know what it’s like working with us.
To Apply, send us:
1. Your resume or LinkedIn
2. A short note on a complex feature you shipped recently and how you approached it
3. A project you’ve built from scratch
4. Bonus: a link to anything you've built that you're proud of (code or not)
We'll do a short technical conversation, a take-home that mirrors real work (build a feature in our stack), and a founder chat. No LeetCode, no whiteboard algorithms.
