Job Description

About Lynk

Lynk is the inventor of satellite direct to device or D2D technology, and has the world’s only commercial license from the FCC to operate a commercial D2D system. Today, Lynk allows mobile network operators' subscribers to send and receive text messages to and from space via standard unmodified, mobile devices. Lynk’s service has been tested and proven on all seven continents, has regulatory approvals in more than 30 countries and is currently being deployed commercially based on more than 40 MNO commercial service contracts covering approximately 50 countries.

Our technology will enable all 8 billion people on the planet to stay connected with the existing standard phone in their pocket. Everywhere. No matter what.

By joining Lynk, you will have the opportunity to directly touch the lives of billions. Your mission will be to bring mobile broadband to billions, pull hundreds of millions out of poverty, and save countless lives.

Join Us to Help Connect the World

We are hiring Engineering Interns across a range of technical disciplines, including aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering, and other STEM-related fields. Candidates with interests in satellite systems, telecommunications, robotics, software, hardware, integration, analysis, and testing are encouraged to apply.

Internships

Lynk offers a variety of internship opportunities for students currently enrolled in bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD programmes in engineering, computer science, or another relevant STEM field. Interns contribute to real projects that support the design, analysis, development, integration, testing, and operation of satellite systems and related lab or ground equipment.

As an Intern, you will work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Depending on your discipline and project assignment, you may support mechanical design, software development, system analysis, payload or bus hardware, integration activities, lab testing, documentation, or validation work.

Interns may contribute across areas such as mechanical, electrical, communications, flight control, command and data handling, flight software, and other spacecraft subsystems. Because Lynk supports the full lifecycle of satellite systems, interns gain hands-on exposure to how complex engineering systems move from concept through build, integration, test, and operation.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates are currently enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD programme in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering, or another STEM-related field. They bring strong interpersonal skills, work well in a team environment, and are comfortable operating in a fast-paced setting with limited resources.

Candidates should have exposure to technical tools relevant to their area of study, which may include programming languages, Linux or Windows environments, CAD software, engineering analysis tools, or lab and test equipment. Relevant experience may come from coursework, lab research, project teams, personal projects, internships, or other technical work.

What You’ll Gain

This internship offers hands-on experience working on real engineering projects, exposure to multidisciplinary teams, and practical involvement in design, integration, testing, documentation, and technical problem-solving. Interns also gain insight into the full engineering lifecycle in a fast-paced space and telecommunications environment.
