Cymer Field Service Engineer (Icheon)

Introduction to the job

As a Field Service Engineer at Cymer, you’ll provide on-site support for complex equipment used in semiconductor manufacturing. Your work includes installing, upgrading, repairing, and maintaining systems. You’ll also help customers operate and maintain the equipment, acting as a key point of contact for technical and service-related issues.

Role and responsibilities

• Provides onsite field service support through the performance of installations, upgrades, repairs, and maintenance of complex capital equipment and systems.
• Troubleshoots either to resolve issues directly or through referring advanced issues to technical support resources.
• Acts as a customer service advocate, instructing customers in the operation and maintenance of the system.
• Analyzes, diagnoses, and troubleshoots Cymer equipment problems via telephone or at customer site.
• Ensures that parts are available and as specified for service requirements.
• Maintains appropriate tools are on hand and as required.
• Travels as required for the purposes of performing service activities at customer sites or backfilling for other Cymer Field Service Engineers.
• Uses company technical documentation and provides feedback for improvement.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and experience

• 1~3 years’ experience in optics, laser, and/or semiconductor equipment experience is preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field (ex. Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Optical Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, etc.)

Skills

• Need to be leading one installation or significantly contributed to the successful installation of products at multiple sites.
• Excellent customer service skills with an advanced understanding of customer relationship building.
• Preferred experience using the following software packages: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, LabView, Spotfire.
• Fluent speaking and writing skills in both Korean and English.
• Communicates clearly and concisely with stakeholders.
• Good at multi-tasking and hands on skills.
• Proactive, fast-learner and strong ownership for solving issues.

• Work location: ASML Icheon office
• Work type: No shift duty, but regular on-call is mandatory
• Flexible work location: Icheon / Cheongju / Yongin
