Our digital platform, built solely in-house, enables seamless patient interactions, telehealth services, provider management, and employee benefit administration making a real difference in people’s lives while simultaneously providing tremendous value to small businesses.

We raised our Series A in 2024 and have scaled to all 51 states (including D.C.) over the past 9 months. We’re rapidly growing and looking to add mission driven, high performing people to our team to help us revolutionize the healthcare space in America.

About the Role

We are seeking a high-performing Product Engineer with strong backend + frontend development expertise and leadership capabilities. In this role, you will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, leverage your deep understanding of our product and users, and solve complex, ambiguous problems that drive mission-critical business outcomes. More specifically, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the critical infrastructure that powers our AI-powered Benefits Platform, ensuring we offer a world class benefits administration and utilization experience for employers and employees, respectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaboration: Partner with business teams to understand challenges, objectives, and opportunities.
  • Product Focus: Develop a deep knowledge of the business and product landscape to make informed technical decisions and influence both engineering and business counterparts.
  • Problem Solving: Own solving large, ambiguous problems end-to-end, from design and implementation to release while maintaining a strong sense of urgency and execution.
  • Backend Development: Build and maintain the critical infrastructure responsible for powering our Benefits Platform.
  • Frontend Development: Build and maintain the web apps used by employers and employees as pertains to critical benefits administration, enrollment, and utilization flows.
  • Cultural Leadership: Champion engineering best practices by writing clean, maintainable code, actively participating in code reviews, and leveling up others around you.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional software development experience, startup experience is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of software design patterns and programming principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Proven experience in independently delivering solutions that drive measurable business impact.
  • Proven experience building AI-powered software solving real problems for real customers.

Technical Skills

  • Experience with Python and designing + building REST APIs.
  • UI/UX Skills - Experience with component based web frameworks, like Vue or React with the ability to collaborate w designers to bring mockups to life with pixel-perfect implementation.
  • Expertise in SQL and data model design.
  • Strong agentic programming skills, ability to maintain control while moving fast, no AI-slop.

Preferred Technical Skills

  • Experience with Django and Django Rest Framework.

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Highly adaptable and comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
