Join us as we continue to grow and transform global finance. # **Role Overview** This is a standout opportunity for an ambitious accountant to accelerate their career within one of the fastest-growing cross-border payments fintechs. As Verto expands into new markets and launches new products, you will step into a role defined by genuine ownership and visibility. You will lead critical workstreams across management reporting, financial operations, and process optimisation, directly influencing decision-making and company growth. We are seeking a versatile and analytical **Finance Manager** to join our high-performing Finance team. ## **What You’ll Be Doing** - Owning the month-end close process, delivering accurate, insight-driven management accounts that enable leadership to make informed commercial decisions. - Producing high-quality financial statements and reporting packs to improve visibility over entity-level performance across global jurisdictions. - Performing in-depth financial and KPI analysis to explain performance drivers and support revenue analytics. - Overseeing compliance-related financial operations, ensuring Verto meets obligations across regulatory licences, tax, and statutory filings. - Managing external professional services teams (auditors, tax advisors) to ensure high-quality outputs. - Leading AR process improvements to reduce aged debt, streamline billing, and protect revenue. - Identifying and implementing automation and process enhancements to reduce manual work and create a scalable finance infrastructure. - Developing and documenting accounting policies to strengthen governance across global entities. ## **What You Need** - You must be a fully qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA). - 3+ years of experience in Financial Services, Fintech, Payments, Banking, or similar high-growth environments. - Proven experience producing management accounts and financial reports. - Advanced Excel skills, including large dataset handling, pivot tables, lookups, and analytical modelling. - A strong understanding of accounting systems (e.g., Xero). - Strong communication skills with the confidence to collaborate with senior stakeholders. - A proactive, ownership-driven mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. ## **Best If You Have** - Experience specifically within the cross-border payments or FX industry. - Experience implementing or optimising finance automation tools. - A track record of managing statutory and financial audits end-to-end. # About the Interview Process The interview process will have a round with the talent team, a hiring manager round, panel round and a chat with one of our cofounders # **Life At Verto** # **Perks** - Insurance paid by the company - Health and wellness benefits (with specific added benefits depending on the location of the role) - Yearly salary review based on inflation, personal and business performance - Access to entire Udemy’s library - Budget for professional development courses - Work-From-Anywhere policy for certain durations - Integration programme (opportunity to work from our global offices) - Regular team social events - Pension scheme (depending on the role location) - Flexible work arrangements - Exposure to work with globally distributed teams - Location specific benefits like car lease policy, cycle to work, gym membership, etc. # **You’ll Fit Right In If You** - Love asking “why?” - Value solving problems over just completing tasks - Understand sync vs. async communication practices - Thrive in ambiguity and change - Actively seek feedback - Prioritise impact over activity - Are fun to work with - we love good humour! # **Culture** - **Mission-Driven Impact Work:** Be at the forefront of simplifying cross-border payments, directly contributing to a borderless future for global businesses, particularly in emerging markets. - **High Performance & Ownership:** We empower you to take risks, be results-driven, and take ownership.
