Operations Specialist II

Vast is looking for a Operations Specialist II, reporting to the Director of Operations, to support the development of the systems that will be required for the design and build of artificial-gravity human-rated space stations.
This will be a full-time, exempt position located in our Long Beach headquarters.
Responsibilities
- Independently coordinate equipment moves and storage logistics.
- Obtain vendor bids and assist with contractor selection.
- Coordinate offsite storage for excess equipment and supplies.
- Review floor plans and drawings to support space planning and layouts.
- Order, track, and manage supplies for assigned areas.
- Lead setup and coordination for small-to-medium events.
- Serve as point of contact for specific operational projects or zones.
- Communicate timelines, scope, and status updates to stakeholders.
- Identify process improvements and operational gaps.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Vendor coordination and cost awareness.
- Problem-solving with limited information.
- Cross-functional communication.
- Adaptability in fast-changing environments.
Additional Requirements:
- Works independently with minimal supervision.
- Manages priorities across multiple tasks or projects.
Pay Range:
- Operations Specialist: $112,000 - $159,000
U.S. EXPORT CONTROL COMPLIANCE STATUS
The person hired will have access to information and items subject to U.S. export controls, and therefore, must either be a “U.S. person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.62 or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing.
