Integration Engineer

Vast is looking for an Integration Engineer, reporting to the Manager of Integration, to support the development of the systems that will be required for the design and build of artificial-gravity human-rated space stations.
This will be a full-time, exempt position located in our Long Beach location.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the assembly and inspection procedures for the structural, propulsion and avionics assembly and integration of the spacecraft and launch vehicle.
- Ensure integration procedures are continuously evolving to reflect the most efficient assembly practices.
- Develop, qualify, and refine manufacturing processes to meet all requirements including safety, quality, efficiency, and delivery.
- Collaborate with other engineers, subject matter experts, and technicians to solve complex production issues.
- Work with design engineers to evaluate designs for manufacturability and implementation in a continuously evolving production environment.
- Document and provide resolution to non-conformances and collaborate with the quality team to implement root cause corrective actions.
- Identify, develop, plan and refine floor layout updates to maximize efficiency in the workflow of production hardware.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing, aerospace, materials or industrial engineering.
- +1 years of hands on experience with mechanical, electrical, or fluids systems in design, manufacturing, or execution.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Experience with the build, assembly, or integration of large electro-mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
- Knowledge of metallic manufacturing techniques, processes, and equipment related to welding, metal forming, fastening, drilling, bonding and automation.
- Mechanical component and/or tooling design and analysis experience using 3D CAD software.
- Experience transitioning complex products from R&D to high-volume manufacturing.
- Experience writing work instructions and procedures for critical aerospace parts in a production environment within the aerospace industry.
Pay Range:
- Integration Engineer Level I: $81,700 - $110,000
- Integration Engineer Level II: $106,700 - $141,500
- Senior Integration Engineer: $131,800 - $174,700
- Staff Integration Engineer: $154,300 - $204,500

The person hired will have access to information and items subject to U.S. export controls, and therefore, must either be a “U.S. person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.62 or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing.
