Job Description
At Vast, our mission is to contribute to a future where billions of people are living and thriving in space. Vast is developing next-generation space stations to ensure a continuous human presence in space for America and its allies, enabling advanced microgravity research and manufacturing, and unlocking a new space economy for government, corporate, and private customers. Using an incremental, hardware-rich and low-cost approach, Vast is rapidly developing its multi-module Haven Station. Haven Demo’s 2025 success made Vast the only operational commercial space station company to fly and operate its own spacecraft. Next, Haven-1 is expected to become the world’s first commercial space station when it launches, followed by additional Haven modules to enable permanent human presence by 2030. Our team is all-in, committed to executing our mission safely and on time. If you want to work with the most talented people on Earth furthering space exploration for humanity, come join us.

- Track program status, risks, and dependencies; synthesize inputs into clear, executive-ready updates
- Prepare concise presentations and written materials for engineering leadership, finance, and executive stakeholders
- Support resource planning efforts to ensure engineering programs are adequately staffed and sequenced
- Establish and maintain standardized reports and dashboards to improve visibility into program health
- Identify inefficiencies in existing tools, processes, or reporting and drive improvements in partnership with stakeholders
- Maintain clear documentation, notes, and assumptions to ensure continuity and transparency across teams
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or a related technical or analytical field
- 2+ years of experience in analytical, technical program support, operations, or project-based roles
- Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, including the ability to build structured models and analyze complex datasets
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail with a track record of delivering accurate, well-structured work
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Experience supporting engineering, hardware, manufacturing, or R&D organizations
- Engineering background strongly preferred

- Ability to synthesize technical and financial inputs into clear insights for leadership
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with comfort presenting to senior technical leaders
- Experience working in aerospace, manufacturing, or other highly technical, capital-intensive environments
- Self-starter mindset with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
