The primary purpose of this position is to serve as Equipment Management Specialist. The EAE's responsibilities are to ensure accountability of in-use
equipment is properly maintained; equipment custodians are trained and properly conducting their duties and responsible officers/squadron commanders.
Duties
- Directs the equipment accountability office. Responsible to the LRS commander for all installation equipment accountability and reporting.
- Prepares recurring and special reports. Report will provide responsible officers with strengths, findings, and observations as applicable.
- Compiles data, statistics and chart preparation. Compiles statistics from data requiring substantial analysis, interpretation, and development of new formats.
- Performs weapons reconciliations. LRS EAE is responsible for performing annual reconciliations of weapons such as carbines, grenade launchers, machine guns, pistols, recoilless weapons, revolvers, rifles, shotguns, etc. Inventory weapons by serial number.

- May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of TDY assignments.

- Required to have a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to independently, plan/organize teams to support program activities, participates as functional expert with extensive knowledge of inventory, supply, and procurement management systems.

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions, Inventory Management Series 2010
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-01, equivalent to the next to lower grade GS-04 or equivalent in the Federal Service. General experience is described as knowledge of pertinent laws, statutes, regulations, policies, procedures, techniques and methods applicable to supply, and equipment management. Knowledge of governing supply regulations, procedures, and instructions and knowledge of supply functions, operations, program requirements, and work methods. Thorough knowledge of the procedures, techniques, and practices of equipment management principals, concepts, and methodologies to include governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions and an intensive knowledge of local supply requirements to ensure supply support for production, overhaul, repair, or other operations for urgent, critical shortage, and other special items. Knowledge of a wide range of pertinent laws, regulations, policies, and precedents which impact program and related support resources. Knowledge of the major programs, mission, and functions of the organization.

COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. NOTE: You must submit a copy of official transcripts.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the NH-01 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the NH-02 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
- Knowledge of pertinent laws, statutes, regulations, policies, procedures, techniques and methods applicable to supply, and
equipment management. Knowledge of governing supply regulations, procedures, and instructions and knowledge of supply functions, operations, program requirements and work methods. - Thorough knowledge of the procedures, techniques, and practices of equipment management principals, concepts, and
methodologies to include governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions and an intensive knowledge of
local supply requirements to ensure supply support for production, overhaul, repair, or other operations for urgent, critical
shortage, and other special items. - Knowledge of a wide range of pertinent laws, regulations, policies, and precedents which impact program and related support
resources. Knowledge of the major programs, mission, and functions of the organization. - Ability to provide supply operations support pertaining to specialized or unique supplies, equipment, and parts, such as
special purpose laboratory or test equipment, prototypes of technical equipment requiring unusual degrees of protection in
shipment and storage, and/or items seldom handled. - Ability to independently, plan/organize teams to support program activities, participates as functional expert with extensive
knowledge of inventory, supply, and procurement management systems. - Ability to apply policies, precedents, goals, objectives, and guidelines for process oversight. Ability to conduct extensive and exhaustive searches for information and to reconstruct records for complex supply transactions. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
