Job Description

A new space race has begun. True Anomaly seeks those with the talent and ambition to build innovative technology that solves the next generation of engineering, manufacturing, and operational challenges for space security and sustainability.

OUR MISSION

The peaceful use of space is essential for continued prosperity on Earth—from communications and finance to navigation and logistics. True Anomaly builds innovative technology at the intersection of spacecraft, software, and AI to enhance the capabilities of the U.S., its allies, and commercial partners. We safeguard global security by ensuring space access and sustainability for all.

OUR VALUES

  • Be the offset. We create asymmetric advantages with creativity and ingenuity
  • What would it take? We challenge assumptions to deliver ambitious results
  • It’s the people. Our team is our competitive advantage and we are better together

YOUR MISSION

As a Senior People Business Partner (Engineering) at True Anomaly, you will be a strategic partner to engineering and security leaders, driving people strategies that enable high-performing, engaged, and growing organizations. You will own critical people initiatives, provide expert guidance on complex talent challenges, and act as a trusted advisor to leadership while delivering operational excellence across core HR programs. This role reports to the Manager, People Business Partners.

This is a dedicated business partnership role, not an HR Generalist position. This role is ideal for an experienced HR professional with a proven track record in business partnership, talent management, and program execution supporting technical organizations in fast-paced environments

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the primary People Business Partner to engineering and security leaders, providing strategic counsel on organizational design, talent planning, leadership development, and workforce optimization; while the Manager, PBP serves as the first point of alignment and escalation across all supported areas.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with engineering and security leadership through strategic partnership, proactive consultation, and deep understanding of business needs.
  • Partner with the Manager, PBP and Compensation Manager to support compensation cycles for engineering teams, contributing to data analysis, market benchmarking, equity assessments, and recommendations based on performance, role progression, and location considerations.
  • Provide expert guidance to managers on talent processes including performance management, succession planning, career development, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Lead employee relations matters independently, conducting investigations, advising on complex cases, and ensuring consistent, compliant resolution aligned with company values and legal requirements.
  • Drive execution of people programs across engineering (performance cycles, engagement initiatives, talent reviews) in partnership with People Operations and People Programs; contribute to the design and continuous improvement of scalable processes.
  • Partner with Learning & Development to assess capability gaps, design targeted interventions, and deliver leadership training that strengthens manager effectiveness and team performance.
  • Analyze and synthesize people data (engagement results, attrition trends, performance insights, diversity metrics) to generate actionable insights and recommendations that inform leadership decisions and business strategy.
  • Lead organizational change initiatives, including restructures, workforce planning, and scaling efforts, ensuring alignment with business objectives and positive employee experience.
  • Champion True Anomaly's values — Be The Offset, What Would It Take, It's The People — by modeling behaviors, coaching leaders, and embedding culture into everyday practices and program design.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5+ years in an HR Business Partner or strategic HR role
  • Proven experience supporting technical organizations (engineering, product, IT, or security functions strongly preferred)
  • Demonstrated expertise in compensation analysis, performance management, talent planning, and employee relations
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to translate data into strategic insights and recommendations
  • Experience leading organizational change, restructures, or scaling initiatives
  • Excellent judgment and ability to handle sensitive, complex employee matters with discretion and professionalism
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills; able to influence at all levels
  • Track record of building credibility quickly and partnering effectively with senior leaders
  • Bachelor's degree required; SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR certification preferred
  • Aerospace, defense, or high-growth tech experience is a plus

COMPENSATION:

  • Base Salary: $110,000-$150,000
  • Equity + Benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, HRA/HSA options, PTO and paid holidays, 401K, Parental Leave

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education and experience.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to maintain or obtain TS//SCI clearance
  • Work Location: hybrid (3 days) this role will be based out of our GravityWorks factory in Centennial, CO
  • Travel: Occasional travel to Colorado Springs and Long Beach.
  • Work environment is in a standard office, working at a desk or in a production factory.
