YOUR MISSION
As the Quality Assurance Engineer at True Anomaly, you will be a key contributor to Spacecraft Development by inspecting in-process or finished products for quality; based on True Anomaly internal specifications and will adviseMissions and production on results. Managing product quality standards, as well as environmental, and safety objectives internally to the Production functions and staff, while externally it relates to suppliers and customers. This role will support the Spacecraft Development team, Mission Assurance and Production Teams. You will have the opportunity to design and build processes that you can then train other team members to help execute against
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be a proactive leader; demonstrate the ability to identify issues and develop solutions.
- Participate in risk identification reviews of manufacturing instructions and test, Read blueprints, specifications. Monitor operations to ensure that production standards are met.
- Recommend adjustments to the assembly or production process and contribute to maintaining compliance. Advise production when inspection results do not meet customer specifications. Identify supplier issues and address design and manufacturing areas for improvement.
- Manage internal and external audits/inspections such as AS9100 and ISO9001.
- Adjudicate inspection issues and collaborate with the responsible manufacturing and/or engineering functions to improve product and/or processes. Lead defect analysis for products and process work centers and facilitateimprovements.
- Routinely use measuring tools (such as: caliper gauges, micrometers).
- Maintain a safe and clean workspace.
- Build positive relationships across designated team by effectively collaborating, communicating, and upholding ethical integrity.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing principles throughout the organization as it pertains to quality assurance methodology.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- College Degree
- 5+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer in an aerospace environment.
- Experience working with depth gauges, dial calipers, and/or automated gauges.
- Experience maintaining production or quality control equipment.
- Experience with EIDP’s, CoC’s, Non-conformance Reporting Processes
- Previous experience with corrective actions, supplier engagement, and 3rd party audit support.
- Proficiency with computer applications (such as: Microsoft: Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong attention to detail and experience reviewing and understanding graphs and trends.
- Demonstrated ability to provide clear and concise communication (verbal and written) in a respectful manner to all levels of personnel.
COMPENSATION
- Base Salary: $120,000 - $165,000
- Equity + Benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, HRA/HSA options, PTO and paid holidays, 401K, Parental Leave
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, location, and experience.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Work Location—Successful candidates will be located near Long Beach. While we observe a hybrid work environment, some work must be done on site.
- Work environment—the work environment; temperature, noise level, inside or outside, or other factors that will affect the person's working conditions while performing the job.
- Physical demands—the physical demands of the job, including bending, sitting, lifting and driving.
