YOUR MISSION

As a Fluids and Propulsion Technician, you will play a vital role in the assembly, integration, and testing of propulsion systems. Collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams, you will help bring innovative propulsion systems from early development through flight readiness and production ramp.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Fluids and Propulsion Assembly: Build, install, and test fluids and propulsion hardware—including thrusters, tanks, valves, manifolds, fluid lines, and harnessing—using engineering drawings, work instructions, and process documentation. This includes bending, flaring, fitting, and cleaning tubes to achieve required routing, fit standards, and cleanliness as well as valve and other component disassembly and assembly.
  • Component Prep and Handling: Prepare and handle fluids and pressure systems with precision, including cleaning, operating, maintaining, and ensuring safety and traceability throughout.
  • System Integration: Work alongside engineering and quality teams to integrate fluids and propulsion components and subsystems, supporting checkouts, troubleshooting, and functional tests.
  • Testing and Validation: Conduct and support fluids and propulsion tests including proof, leak, flow, and qualification testing.
  • Safety and Compliance: Follow protocols for hazardous materials handling and pressurized systems.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Technical degree or certification in a relevant field
  • Years of experience in assembly, integration, and testing of aerospace fluids and propulsion systems in line with technician level
  • Experience building and integrating fluids panel and tray assemblies
  • Proficiency in reading engineering drawings, schematics, process sheets, and work instructions
  • Experience with electrostatic discharge sensitive, foreign object and debris critical, and cleanroom operations
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lift 25lbs and work in and around constrained and confined spaces

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Aerospace welding and brazing
  • Orbital tube welding

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Base Salary:

  • Technician Level 1: $32-45/hr
  • Technician Level 2: $40-55/hr
  • Technician Level 3: $50-70/hr
  • Senior Technician: $60-85/hr
  • Equity + Benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, HRA/HSA options, PTO and paid holidays, 401K, Parental Leave

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, location, and experience.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Work Location—Successful candidates will be located near Denver or Colorado Springs. While we observe a hybrid work environment, some work must be done on site.
  • Work environment—the work environment; temperature, noise level, inside or outside, or other factors that will affect the person's working conditions while performing the job.
  • Physical demands—the physical demands of the job, including bending, sitting, lifting and driving.
