Aerospace University is seeking a tech savvy individual contributor to play an integral role in the creation and delivery of scalable training solutions that inspire our geographically dispersed workforce of scientists, engineers, and support staff.
As a Training & Development Specialist (Training Specialist II), you will collaborate closely with instructional designers and subject matter experts to develop engaging learning programs across a wide range of topics. Leveraging your background in training development, learning technology, or space systems science, you will be central to our mission of delivering state-of-the-art training solutions.
The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site in El Segundo, CA.
What You’ll Be Doing
Work hand-in-hand with program leads, subject matter experts, facilitators, and instructional designers to craft both in-person and virtual instructor-led sessions rooted in adult learning principles
Assist in designing, developing, and deploying multimedia and web-based training using diverse methods and industry-leading authoring tools
Prepare instructors to deliver dynamic, compelling training sessions in both physical and virtual environments
Coordinate internal learning and development projects and participate in cross-functional teams to elevate HR service delivery across the organization
What You Need to Be Successful
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Instructional Design, Adult Learning, Communication, Education, Business, Aerospace, Space Sciences, or a related field
Two or more years of experience in the field of learning to include learning design, learning operations, classroom facilitation, or primary/secondary/post-secondary education environment
Experience translating complex concepts into effective training products, with hands-on expertise in multimedia and eLearning development
Multimedia and eLearning development skills
Experience setting up and hosting virtual training using Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or equivalent technology
Willing to travel domestically 1-2 times per year as needed
How You Can Stand Out
It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:
Master’s degree or higher in Instructional Design, Adult Learning, or a related field
Experience with tools such as Articulate, Vyond, Python, Adobe, or Camtasia for eLearning development
Experience in designing and executing virtual learning initiatives using platforms like Zoom or Microsoft Teams
Experience with Learning Management Systems to streamline and enhance the delivery of instructor-led training programs

Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.
