The selected individual will be working as a Contractor Special Access Program (SAP) & Sensitive Compartment Information (SCI) Security Officer (Security Specialist IV - CSSO). The CSSO is the primary interface with Aerospace Program Management and government agencies regarding SAP and SCI program security matters and requirements. Responsible for providing security support ensuring classified information is properly safeguarded and will provide on-site support for all security actions in accordance with corporate and government policies and directives.
The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility in Colorado Springs, CO.
What You’ll Be Doing
- This is a Senior CSSO role which will primarily support and advise program internal stakeholders/leadership and external customers in the effective execution of SAP and SCI program requirements.
- Apply expertise in SAP & SCI security policy and regulations to deliver the highest quality advice and services to support the mission of our stakeholders and customers (Program Protection, Personnel Security, Physical Security, Emergency Action Planning, OPSEC Planning).
- Demonstrate forward-thinking initiative by anticipating challenges and identifying opportunities that support program objectives.
- Build credibility as a dependable advisor by providing thoughtful counsel, fostering an approachable demeanor, honoring commitments, and remaining receptive to alternative viewpoints.
- Build and maintain inspection-ready security programs while conducting regular audits and leveraging metrics to track operational performance.
- Act as an incident commander for security incidents, conduct investigations, and leading post-incident reviews to implement processes to reduce the likelihood of reoccurrence.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and conduct security awareness, training, and education programs to build a culture of security across organizations.
- Support Aerospace enterprise security and special projects as needed or assigned such as our CSSO Working group, Enterprise Policy Working Groups, Incident Response working group, etc.
What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements:
- 8 or more years of relevant SCI and SAP Security experience with High School Diploma.
- Current TS/SCI with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI and SAP accesses. U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance. Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph may be required.
- Previous CSSO experience.
- Expertise in DoDM 5205.07, DoDM 5105.21, and the Intelligence Community Directives (ICD) series.
- Strong writing, communication, and presentation skills to produce professional training and awareness products, policy/procedure documents and to effectively communicate with all levels of management and customers (internal/external).
- Ability to build trust and foster open communications with peers and internal/external customers.
- Ability to provide reliable counsel to the organization, while driving to deliver the highest quality services and processes.
- Occasional after-hours alarm response is a requirement (Overtime eligible)
How You Can Stand Out
It would be impressive if you had one or more of these:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited college.
- Current TS/SCI with adjudicated CI polygraph.
- Extensive experience in risk management, program protection, personnel security, physical security, emergency action planning, ICD-705, and OPSEC Planning.
- Extensive experience supporting and advising program stakeholders/leadership and USG customers in the effective execution of SAP and SCI program requirements.

Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.
