Our People Operations Directorate serves as a strategic partner to the enterprise, delivering innovative HR solutions that enable mission success. Organized into Centers of Expertise—including Compensation, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, and Employee Relations—our team designs and implements best-in-class programs that support our workforce and organizational objectives.
As a Compensation Partner, you'll work at the intersection of data, strategy, and people to ensure our pay practices are equitable, competitive, and aligned with business goals. You will be instrumental in designing and delivering compensation programs that drive our total rewards strategy, providing expert guidance on everything from market analysis and job evaluation to annual planning and pay equity. Working closely with Strategic People Partners and internal clients, you'll ensure our programs remain competitive, compliant, and strategically aligned.
This position is located in El Segundo, CA., requiring at least 4 days onsite.
What You’ll Be Doing
Serve as the Compensation Partner for a client group working along with the Strategic People Partners and recruiters on all compensation-related projects
Responsible for the review, evaluation, and external market benchmarking for Aerospace jobs from entry level through the highest-level professional; work-product includes analysis of job descriptions, the evaluation and of leveling jobs, market pricing, development of hiring ranges and pay recommendations
Serve as integral partner for the administration of our compensation planning processes including annual planning, off-cycle planning, review of our salary structure, development of processes and workflows, pay equity studies, and all related activities
Participate in salary surveys and benchmark company compensation against market data
Manage the Compensation workflow and processes within Workday and integrations with other People Operations Centers of Expertise including People Acquisition, People Management, Talent Management, plus future enhancements as needed.
Support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of third-party systems such as MarketPay
Produce analyses and metrics on various compensation programs including merit, recognition awards, and budgets
Partner in development of all communication materials and training developed for Compensation programs such as recognition awards, merit planning training and FAQs, as well as the Total Rewards Portal
Partner on the continued process improvement of Compensation-related systems and processes including the integration with other People Operations processes
Ensure compensation practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations (FLSA, Equal Pay Act, etc.)
Support pay equity audits and analyses, as needed
What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements for the Compensation Staff III:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field
6 or more years of relevant compensation experience
Experience with compensation principles, practices, systems, and methodologies
Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical skills
In addition to the above, the minimum requirements for the Compensation Staff IV include:
8 or more years of relevant compensation experience
How You Can Stand Out
It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:
Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification or other HR certifications
Familiarity with, or have experience with, competitive pay practices in high tech firms, the space industry, and/or FFRDC pay structures
Experience in Workday and market pay systems
Experience with dashboards and/or Tableau reporting

Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.
