Technical Consultant Intern
This position is hybrid model in our Berrini (São Paulo) unit
Position Summary
Technical Consultant Intern is an entry-level position within the Mobile Communication Services (MCS) organization of Thales Cybersecurity and Digital Identity (CDI). The role supports the activities of a Technical Consultant (TC), who is responsible for managing the technical relationship with Mobile Network Operators (MNOs).
As a Technical Consultant Intern, you will gain experience with mobile connectivity technologies such as 5G, eSIM, loT and digital identity solutions, while working with global experts and mobile operators. The program provides training in telecommunications, Thales products, internal tools, and project management, helping develop technical expertise, business knowledge and communication skills to later manage costumer projects and technical engagements independently.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Support the technical relationship with Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) by assisting in the integration, deployment, and lifecycle management of SIM, eSIM (Digital Profile) and IoT connectivity solutions.
- Develop expertise in telecommunications technologies and standards, including SIM/USIM, eSIM, OTA, mobile network architecture, and industry specifications, to translate customer requirements into technical solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and international teams to support pre-sales activities, technical proposals, solution design discussions, and customer project execution across multiple regions.
- Contributes to the end-to-end delivery of SIM and eSIM (Digital profile) projects, including requirements analysis, configuration, testing, production readiness, commercial delivery, and post-deployment support.
- Perform validation activities to ensure products and services meet customer expectations, quality standards, and operational requirements before deployment.
- Gain proficiency in Thales tools, platforms, and processes, enabling efficient project execution, technical specification management, and issue resolution.
- Build strong technical consulting and project management skills through structured coaching and hands-on experience, preparing to independently manage customer engagements and technical projects as a future Technical Consultant.
Minimum Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Portuguese.
- Ability to analyze situations, think critically, and develop practical solutions. Demonstrates curiosity, attention to detail, creativity, and a structured approach to problem-solving.
