SharePoint Engineer for NATO Project (L2/L3)

Job summary

You will provide operational support and technical leadership for the PAS infrastructure, ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient access management across systems. This role focuses on supporting and coaching PAS administrators, delivering engineering-level input into operational improvements, and maintaining up-to-date Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance and clarity in daily operations. You will need to deliver proactive and structured support aligned with ITIL processes, focusing on service improvement.

Responsibilities:

• PAS Admin coaching

• PAS Admin support (Tickets Management after escalation).

• Interact with other departments to ensure integration of new services and solutions

• Design and documentation of SharePoint architecture

• Implementation and advanced configuration of search services, user profiles and managed metadata

• Contribute to CAB (Change Advisory Board)

• Knowledge base update

• Standard Operating Procedure Management

• Testbed Management

• Security Patch testing

ITIL Processes:

• Event Management - beginner

• Incident Management – intermediate

• Service Request Management - beginner

• Change Management - intermediate

• Service Level Management - beginner

• Problem Management - intermediate

• Service Asset & Configuration Management - beginner

Required Skills & Experience:

• IaaS, DMZ, SSI – beginner

• PAS – senior

• Active Directory proficiency (OU, NTLM, Kerberos, Service Principal Name) – senior

• Infrastructure concepts (IP, DNS, Firewall) – senior

• VMWare basics – senior

• Good knowledge of SQL (permission management) – beginner

• In-depth knowledge of SharePoint Server:

  • Able to implement advanced configurations of SharePoint services, (User profile, Search Service) – senior

  • Able to design and document the Sharepoint architecture – intermediate

  • Able to interact with other departments to ensure integration of new solutions and services – beginner

  • Able to configure and analyze ULS logs. – senior

  • Able to assist and support L1/L2 – intermediate

  • Proficiency in PowerShell and SharePoint administration tools. – senior

• Knowledge of database backup and recovery principles – intermediate

• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. – senior

• Able to handle certificates/encryption keys – intermediate

• Fluent English
