YOUR ROLE
As a Senior Consultant – Network Security Engineering at Thales, you will deliver end-to-end network security engineering and advisory services across customer environments, projects and platforms. You will design, implement and secure complex network architectures, ensuring resilience, availability and compliance across enterprise and government environments.
You will work closely with customers, architects, engineers and business stakeholders to design secure network solutions, uplift security posture, and support the protection of critical systems and infrastructure.
YOU’LL
• Design, implement and support secure network security architectures across enterprise and government environments
• Deliver firewall, network segmentation, secure routing and VPN solutions
• Implement and manage security controls across on-prem, hybrid and cloud network environments
• Identify, assess and remediate network security vulnerabilities and risks
• Support incident response and troubleshooting for network security issues
• Contribute to security uplift programs aligned to ISM, Essential Eight, NIST and ISO frameworks
• Produce technical designs, implementation documentation and operational runbooks
• Engage directly with customers to provide network security advice and recommendations
• Collaborate with cyber, infrastructure and application teams to deliver integrated security outcomes
• Stay current with emerging network threats, technologies and security best practices
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field
• Strong background in network security engineering, including firewalls, routing, switching and segmentation
• Hands-on experience with technologies such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco, Check Point or equivalent
• Experience securing enterprise, cloud or hybrid network environments
• Strong understanding of network security concepts, protocols and architectures
• Ability to assess environments and deliver practical, risk-based security recommendations
• Experience supporting or delivering security uplift initiatives and remediation programs
• Clear communicator with strong attention to detail and documentation standards
• Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset
• Ability to work collaboratively across technical and non-technical teams
• Nice to have: experience in government or regulated environments, OT networking, or zero trust architectures
