Job Description
Job Title: Security Services Analyst
Base location: Sveavägen, Stockholm, Sweden - Hybrid
The position requires that you undergo and be approved in accordance with the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Thales has requirements for security clearance, this may entail a requirement for local citizenship.
Thale’s Security Analyst Team is tasked with tackling and solving our most complex field issues for enterprise customers. As a Security Analyst, you will be analysing large amounts of traffic to websites to find correlations and patterns. Based on the conclusions drawn from the analysis, the analyst collaborates with the customer and with Thales’s internal teams to implement mitigation strategies to stop automated website attacks. An important part of the position is to work with clients, investigate anomalies, and provide easily consumable but detailed evidence for all actions taken. A degree of flexibility to take appointments evenings and mornings required.
ABOUT THE TEAM:
We’re part of a global team operating on a follow-the-sun model, so although we cover all time zones, you’ll be working with the EMEA region.
Most of the team is based in Belfast, UK, with one analyst currently in the Sveavägen, Stockholm office; this is a hybrid position with on-site required during the training period.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Become a Thales Expert - you will know everything there is to know about how Thales’s platform works, as well as how bots and bot operators attack websites.
Monitor our internal queue and provide incident response in line with the respective premium SLA.
Analyse false positives for detection mechanisms to hone the product.
Spend time analysing web traffic data to identify and isolate new advanced bot behaviours.
Work with Thales’s customers to fully understand the issues automated attacks cause to their business and devise strategies to mitigate or eliminate the issues.
Have regular calls with customers to discuss findings and analysis.
Work with Thales’s internal research, data science, and product teams by delivering actionable intelligence that will inform future product enhancements.
Use data visualization tools to create consumable reports to quickly validate findings and demonstrate the efficacy of actions taken.
Be a trusted advisor, take ownership of all problems you encounter, and be a team player.
REQUIREMENTS:
You have an interest in security/technology and keep up with the latest trends and news.
You love solving difficult problems and finding the needle in the haystack.
You have meticulous communication skills and are confident in your ability to have regular technical and non-technical calls.
Your customer facing skills are polished and you know not to guess when in doubt.
You have intermediate to advanced SQL skills.
You have experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Looker.
You understand the basics of scripting and have experience in one or more languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
You have HTTP network knowledge and can describe in some detail how websites are delivered to browsers.
You are a leader and can work independently as well as tightly with a team.
You have a Bachelor’s degree in IT/Mathematics/Engineering/Computer or equivalent demonstrated success.
Fluent in Swedish and English.
WHAT WE OFFER:
Competitive compensation package including base salary and performance-based incentives.
A key role in shaping the company’s presence in a strategically important region.
Opportunity to work with innovative technologies and cross-border teams.
Professional development, training, and career advancement opportunities.
If you think that you are a perfect fit, or even if you think that you are close but will strive to fill the gaps, please do get in touch. We would be very happy to share more details of the company, of the fantastic opportunity and information about the team. We are immensely proud of all three and we would love to find our next star.
