Thales is hiring an Sales Engineer Manager to join our Software Monetization (SM) team. The SM Sentinel solution portfolio provides software companies and intelligent device vendors with software licensing, download, protection, and entitlement management solutions.
Sales Engineer Manager will manage Sales Engineers with team members in NORAM, LATAM and Canada Thales’ Software Monetization product line. You'll focus on driving the business forward in creatin, maintaining, animating a strong Sales Engineering team and operational efficiency, while supporting own sales opportunities in the local territory.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Manage sales support resource allocation across sales territories to optimize sales
Ensure that all Sales Engineer (SE) possess the necessary product knowledge, technical skills, and communication abilities to work effectively with a diverse range of vertical markets, customer environments, and partners, thereby achieving their assigned revenue and profit targets
Facilitate the definition and development of career objectives and action plans for sales engineers to achieve their goals
Ensure skill and professional development plans are in place for all SEs
Provide tactical sales engineering support as needed across all regions to support the entire team
Be a subject matter expert in the Software Monetization Sentinel solution portfolio
·Use consultative selling skills to lead in-depth architectural discussions and design sessions with key customers to understand their technical requirements and business strategies, helping them define their needs and recommending solutions that align with those needs using company products
Be passionate about helping customers protect their most important asset their solutions
Work closely with the Technical Support and Product Management team to identify, evaluate, and recommend strategic product enhancements based on market initiatives, new technology, partnerships, or customer requirements
·Arrange and coordinate product demonstrations or trial installations
Maintain a high level of technical awareness regarding relevant products, competitors, and market trends
Serve as a subject matter expert and technical leader within the organization, acting as a trusted advisor to our customers and supporting all sales representatives at customer visits
Act as the focal point for sales management and representatives in SE opportunity assignments and escalations
Support our Professional Services team in creating solution designs, technical architecture and process workflow
Minimum Requirement
Bachelors of Science in Electrical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent work experience may be substituted for degree
5 years managing pre-sales for an enterprise software or security company with a proven track record and demonstrable skills at presenting technical data security information at the business executive level or at the architect level.
10+ years of pre-sales working experience for an enterprise software or security company
Strong leadership skills and interpersonal skills to build, maintain, and to achieve results
Proven track record of successfully selling complex technical solutions to major enterprises.
Develop and maintain customer relationships as trusted advisor
Ability to work autonomously in a dynamic, fast-paced, multi-time zone environment while being an interface between different departments
Ability to think strategically about business, technical challenges, and solutions.

The reference Total Target Compensation (TTC) market range for this position, inclusive of annual base salary and the variable compensation target, is between
Total Target Cash (TTC) 172,945.50 - 288,242.50 USD AnnualThis reflects how companies in a similar industry and geographic region generally pay for similar jobs. This range helps the Company make pay decisions as one data point among many. Where a position falls within this range is also dependent on other factors including – but not limited to – the employee’s career path history, competencies, skills and performance, as well as the company’s annual salary budget, the customer’s program requirements, and the company’s internal equity. Thales may offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s status protected by local, state, or federal law.
