Our Team
From take-off to landing, Thales offers the most complete range of solutions to provide dynamic Air Traffic Services to support today's growing domestic and international travel requirements. Utilising this knowledge and experience Thales Australia will deliver a harmonised Civil/Military Air Traffic Management System (OneSKY) in Australia to Airservices Australia and Defence.
This will enable a new level of safety and efficiency, while also reducing delays for the travelling public and providing opportunities to improve environmental outcomes. OneSKY will transform Australia’s sky and we are proud to be partners in its delivery.
Your role
As your Quality Assurance Manager, you will report to the Head of Quality – Airspace Mobility Solution the Quality Assurance Manager role is responsible for:
Deliver specialist Quality Assurance expertise for high-priority bids and projects by fulfilling the responsibilities of the Quality Assurance Manager (QAM) role
Manage and oversee quality requirements for bids and projects to proactively mitigate business and customer risks, minimizing Cost of Non-Quality (CNQ)
Ensure effective implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System (Chorus 2.0), driving consistent quality performance across all business areas
Monitor and verify that quality requirements are met, contributing positively to key performance indicators (KPIs) and contract tenure
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality processes while ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations
Identify quality deficiencies, assess potential risks, and implement strategies to reduce quality-related impacts
Your experience
Minimum of 3 years' experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control within a relevant industry
Tertiary qualification in software, systems, engineering, project management, or a technical equivalent preferred
Certified ISO 9001 internal auditor or demonstrated experience conducting internal quality audits preferred
Proven experience or qualifications in Bid and Project Management to support quality initiatives throughout project lifecycles
Hands-on experience with Product Industrialisation, ensuring smooth transition from development to production
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including expertise in reviewing, understanding, and critically assessing project and quality requirements
A Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance.

In some cases, individuals who hold a current clearance from a foreign government may be eligible to have this clearance recognised by the Australian Government and be eligible for this role.
