Our Team
From take-off to landing, Thales offers the most complete range of solutions to provide dynamic Air Traffic Services to support today's growing domestic and international travel requirements. Utilising this knowledge and experience Thales Australia will deliver a harmonised Civil/Military Air Traffic Management System (OneSKY) in Australia to Airservices Australia and Defence.
This will enable a new level of safety and efficiency, while also reducing delays for the travelling public and providing opportunities to improve environmental outcomes. OneSKY will transform Australia’s sky and we are proud to be partners in its delivery.
Your role
The Project Controller reports to the AMS Head of Finance and supports all branch Finance processes including financial accounting & reporting, employee claims, external & internal audits as well as month and year-end processes. Tasks include monitoring of general ledger transactions for assigned projects, variance analysis of actuals compared to budget, audit documentation and timely & accurate maintenance and processing of accounts receivable transactions.
Assist in the coordination of all financial accounting accountabilities including end of month and annual external reporting
Preparation and review of annual statutory accounts including interfaces with Thales Australia Corporate Finance and auditors
Manage accounts receivable, including age analysis and overdue debtor follow-up
Conduct key balance sheet account reconciliations
Cash flow forecasts and treasury support
Ownership of financial aspects assigned bids
Your experience
Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Business or Finance, CPA/CA (or working towards)
Demonstrated experience in preparation of external reporting requirements
Demonstrated experience and knowledge utilising MS Excel for large transactions
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines and perform under pressure, while maintaining high attention to detail
A Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance.

In some cases, individuals who hold a current clearance from a foreign government may be eligible to have this clearance recognised by the Australian Government and be eligible for this role.
