
Product Operations Specialist, IAM
Job Description
Position Summary
The IAM Product Operations Specialist provides oversight and support for the critical processes and systems that enable the IAM product management and UX Design organization. The Product Operations Specialist drives process and system evolution, including tools. They also track important work artifacts, manage dependencies and coordinate releases. The Product Operations Specialist also performs initial analysis of inbound data for product decision support and help evolve product requirements. They do all this in alignment with the Thales IAM organizational and product strategy.
Essential Functions / Key Areas of Responsibility
Operational Support for Product Organization
- Handle administrative steps required after product decisions are made
- Coordinate small operational follow-ups across departments (Finance, Sales Ops, R&D Ops, Legal)
- Own the agenda and drive the governance process of the IAM Product Council
- Evaluate the overall PM process and propose, develop and implement improvements to that process in the spirit of continuous improvement and agile/lean practices.
Tooling Hygiene & Product Data Integrity
- Keep Craft.io, Builder.io, Figma, and other product and UX tools synchronized and structurally consistent
- Manage permissions, workflows, templates, and structures for product tooling
- Identify, evaluate and roll out new tools that provide benefits to the PM & UX teams and its processes and improve its ability to scale effectively, using both feedback on and metrics from current tools and the product management process.
Cross-Functional Alignment & Reporting
- Serve as the operational bridge between Product, Sales Ops, Finance, Legal, R&D, and GTM.
- Maintain lightweight reporting on product usage, adoption, and release status
- Augment Program Management team to drive the cross-functional release management process
- Discover and track dependencies that exist with other stakeholders in the organization for product team deliverables (such as backlog reviews or prioritization meetings).
- Work with stakeholders, including the project management office (PMO), to minimize the impact of these dependencies and drive solutions to the problems that they represent.
Minimum Requirements: Skills, Experience, Education, Technical/Specialized Knowledge, Certifications, Language
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field of study or business administration
- 3 to 5 years of overall project management, product management, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams such as engineering, UX, program management, sales, support, marketing, etc. in a global company
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Ability to present to and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and executive leadership
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to align cross-functional teams
- Strong meeting facilitation skills.
- Strong project management skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Comfortable with enterprise systems (SalesForce, Oracle ERP, Microsoft 365) and maintaining clean documentation
- Good understanding of product roadmaps, backlogs, and release cycles
- Working knowledge of data and reporting processes to provide the presentation layer for product-management-oriented KPIs.
- Hands-on with Craft.io, Jira, Confluence, Salesforce, or similar tools
- Able to administer tool permissions, structures, and workflows
- Comfortable with spreadsheet trackers and basic analytics dashboards
- Reliable, structured communicator with a calm, methodical approach
- Takes ownership through proactive follow-up and closing loops
- Able to clarify ambiguities and chase stakeholders for needed inputs
- Relationship building and collaboration skills across diverse and matrixed stakeholders and customers.
- Ability to surface, prioritize and balance multiple stakeholder priorities.
- Demonstrated expertise in strategic thinking and strong business acumen.
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry experience in one or more of the following domain areas: CIAM, privileged access management, identity governance, zero trust security.
- Knowledge of multiple functional areas such as product management, consulting, engineering, UX/UI, customer success, or marketing.
- Ability to drive results without well-established policies and procedures.
- Ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority.
