Manager, Product Management – API Security

The Role:

 

We are looking to hire a PM Manager, for our fast-growing API Security domain and to join the Israeli product management team.

In this role you will drive the strategy and execution for key components of the Imperva application security product portfolio.

This is a fast-paced role with visibility to senior business leaders for an experienced and seasoned product leader seeking a unique opportunity to take Imperva application Security solutions to whole new levels and maintain Imperva position Imperva as a leader in this space.

As a leader in the product organization, you will report to VP of products and manage a team of 2 product managers based in India.

 

Your impact:

As the CEO of your domain, you'll tackle challenges that directly impact thousands of organizations worldwide. You'll be responsible for:

·       Lead the creation of new product offerings that provide clear and compelling value to Enterprises deploying and operating Imperva products

·       Transforming complex data into intuitive, actionable insights into the business

·       Engage with customers to drive early product adoption of cloud-based, SaaS offerings and bring actionable insights to the business

·       Be the domain expert 

·       Establish clear and measurable metrics and KPIs for transparent tracking of what success means now and into the future.

·       Work collaboratively with Engineering, Architecture, and threat research counterparts to deliver product offerings and roadmaps with velocity.

·       Collaborate with sales, marketing, and other functional teams to drive GTM activities including strategy, pricing, content creation, sales enablement, customer outreach, and continuously measuring against KPIs for success.

 

Responsibilities:

 

·       Own the product vision and strategy and clearly articulate it to internal/external stakeholders

·       Lead a local team of world-class product managers, providing coaching, guidance, and direction to achieve the product vision

·       Conduct deep-dive analysis of customer challenges and translate findings into product requirements

·       Drive the development of innovative analytics capabilities that differentiate our platform

·       Engage directly with enterprise customers to understand their evolving needs and validate solutions

·       Orchestrate on the product business success by monitoring all KPIs and understanding the root cause as well as driving initiatives with cross-functional team to help hit and exceed the product revenue and profitability goals

·       Define and track key product metrics to measure success and guide decision-making

·       Know why we are winning and losing in the market, and drive changes to our product and processes to create improvement

·       Be (or rapidly become) a company expert in Application security and API cyber solutions for large enterprises. Serve as an external spokesperson for Imperva’s products and solutions

·       Collaborate with product marketing on release, market positioning, and GTM training, as well as to drive product adoption post-launch; Partner with sales and marketing to deliver compelling product marketing content via webinars, print, video, and demo-ware, as well as driving decision in pricing, packaging and positioning

 

 

Requirements:

 

·       Forward thinking: ability to proactively set policy to shape future outcomes Strong customer orientation with the ability to listen, organize and champion key initiatives and projects

·       Knowledge of the DevOps culture, CI/CD tools, Kubernetes

·       Have experience delivering technology products/services in a high growth environment where priorities shift fast

·       Strong leadership, teamwork, and interpersonal skills

·       8+ years of Product Management experience in Enterprise Security or related solutions

·       3+ years in management positions with direct reports. Demonstrable leadership skills and a proven ability to develop, cultivate and mentor a high performing team

·       Demonstrated success in defining customer pain points, market opportunities, and bringing products to market

·       Experience in executing successfully against all product life cycles: new market entry; mid-maturity; and large, mature products with long-tail challenges in broad, diverse markets.

·       Create and harness best practices for operational efficiency, product quality, user-happiness/protection goals in cross-functional settings at scale

·       A leader that brings both strategic and tactical capabilities. Able to gain the respect of the team based on execution, knowledge, hands-on style, and decision-making ability

·       Excellent communicator; articulate and to the point; able to present self and technology well internally, and at the C-level of Tier-1 customers and partners.

·       Strong presentation and public speaking skills for both technical and non-technical audiences. Excellent written communication skills are required

·       Strong technical background with understanding of web technologies and security concepts. Knowledge of application security concepts (OWASP Top 10, attack patterns) - advantage

·       Experience with modern cloud architectures and their performance implications

·       Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders

·       Excellence in strategic thinking and analytical problem-solving
