Our Australia Munitions teams in Benalla and Mulwala produce propellants, explosives and munitions for defence and commercial uses. YOUR ROLE
The Laboratory Technical Assistant (Ballistics) is responsible for performing routine & non-routine analysis on raw materials and finished products to authorised procedures, whilst also being responsible for assuring the quality of their own work.
Working at our Mulwala site, on Pangerang and Yorta Yorta Land, your exciting new career opportunity will see you:
Work at a level of Technical Assistant (Level 9)
Perform chemical and instrumental analyses using standard procedures to deliver accurate results.
Implement Quality Control techniques.
Responsible for the safe working practices within the work area.
Calibrate, maintain, and manage laboratory equipment and facilities to meet NATA standards.
Develop and draft clear operating instructions and methods for laboratory procedures.
Other related duties as assigned.
YOUR EXPERIENCE
Minimum year 12 in Chemistry or equivalent highly desirable
Ability to use Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and E-mail
Ability to work in a team environment
AUSTRALIAN DEFENCE ROLES & SECURITY
A Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance.

In some cases, individuals who hold a current clearance from a foreign government may be eligible to have this clearance recognised by the Australian Government and be eligible for this role.
