
IVVQ Engineer – Radio Communication System (Military Project)
Job Description
JOB OBJECTIVE
The IVVQ Engineer is part of an IVVQ team responsible for the Integration, Verification, Validation and Qualification (IVVQ) of a radio communication system combining hardware and software components.
The role ensures that the system meets technical, functional and performance requirements throughout the project lifecycle, including testing, acceptance with customer and support to deployment.
The candidate will have to obtain security clearance to work in military bases. The role requires travel to these sites.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
System Integration and Verification
- Integrate hardware, software and radio subsystems in lab and pre-deployment environments
- Contribute to the definition of test strategy and test procedures based on system requirements
- Execute system and end-to-end tests (functional, performance, robustness)
- Analyze test results, identify root cause of failures and coordinate corrective actions with engineering teams
- Ensure traceability between requirements, test cases and verification results
Validation and Qualification
- Validate system behavior against operational and customer requirements
- Support formal reviews (TRR, TQR and acceptance milestones)
Platform and Test Means
- Maintain platform configuration control, versioning and availability
- Propose and implement enhancements to tooling and simulators to improve test coverage, efficiency, and reliability
Deployment and Customer Site Support
- Support system deployment and testing at customer sites
- Execute on-site verification, validation and acceptance tests
- Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues in operational environments
- Interface with customers during test and acceptance phases
Documentation and reporting
- Produce and maintain IVVQ documentation (test procedures, reports)
- Contribute to technical documentation
- Provide regular reporting on IVVQ activities
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years in IVVQ
- Hands-on experience with radio communication systems or complex hardware/software systems
- Exposure to customer-facing projects and on-site deployment activities is a strong plus
- Experience in Defense projects or critical infrastructure is preferred
- Knowledge of Thales methods and processes is preferred
QUALIFICATION, CERTIFICATION & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Computer Science or related field
- Valid driver’s license
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Understanding of radio communication systems
- Knowledge of hardware/software integration and system level testing
- Experience with Linux-based systems
- Experience in virtualization and dockers
- Exposure to Ansible or automation tools
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Excellent analytical and reporting capabilities
- Familiar with requirement management and traceability tools
- Ability to work both independently and as a team to solve problems
- Be fluent in English language
- French and Arabic language are a plus
HSE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Take care of your own safety and the safety of others as far as is practicable
- Understand your personal responsibilities and contribute to achieving compliance with the HSE Management System requirements
- Comply with local laws and legislation regarding HSE
- Use safety equipment (including PPE) as required
