Hardware Engineering Environment Product Owner

This position is hybrid model in our São Bernardo do Campo unit.

Position Summary 

Hardware Engineering Environment Product Owner, you will drive the development, deployment, and support of engineering environments, focusing on enabling hardware project teams with robust, secure, and efficient workbench tools and infrastructure. You will champion engineering processes and practices, and ensure local teams are equipped and trained to utilize corporate IS/IT solutions to their full potential.

Key Areas of Responsibility 

Engineering Environment Support

  • Advise projects and teams on optimal engineering environment configurations and workbench setups.
  • Provide training, coaching, and mentoring on engineering processes and the best usage practices for tools.
  • Define workbench architecture in line with layer D directives, including orchestration tools, core models, and logical architecture.
  • Design and support data migration strategies for engineering workbenches, considering data structure and integrity.
  • Manage the licenses portfolio for engineering tools, including license deployment and legal analysis.

Engineering Tools Support

  • Define the deployment architecture for engineering tools (cloud/on-premise), aligned with logical design and business requirements.
  • Package and deliver deployment kits for orchestration and additional tools.
  • Deploy, administer, configure, and provide ongoing support for engineering workbenches on designated hosting environments, including test setups.
  • Manage the patching (application/security), maintenance, incident management, configuration, and user access for engineering workbenches.
  • Oversee operational data migration processes for engineering tools and environments.
  • License deployment and management, ensuring compliance and availability.

Performance & Process Support

  • Contribute actively to defining the engineering Performance Plan.
  • Conduct assessments of engineering organizations to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Support the deployment of process practices and tools, ensuring alignment with corporate strategies.
  • Provide hands-on support and guidance to local teams on the effective utilization of corporate infrastructure solutions.

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Fluent English
  • Experience in engineering environment management, product ownership, or administration of engineering tools within hardware or IS/IT domains.
  • Expertise in engineering workbench and orchestration tools
  • Strong knowledge of deployment architectures
  • Proficiency in license portfolio management and legal compliance
  • Ability to administer, configure, and support specialized engineering platforms
  • Understanding of hardware engineering processes, standards
