Job summary:

We are seeking a passionate DevOps engineer to join the DATX project team. In this project, you will work with best in class DevOps technologies, collaborating with other colleagues by being part of a mixed Agile team.

Besides the project context, you will become part of a transversal department with experienced colleagues that offer DevOps & Cloud services to multiple activity domains. You will have the opportunity to grow in an accelerated rhythm in your career through a collaboration with the other colleagues and their accumulated expertise in various technologies. You will also become a member of an International DevOps Community with visibility across the entire company.

Mission / main responsibilities:

  • Implement CI/CD pipelines in Gitlab in order to streamline the development process

  • Contribute to the definition of the project architecture, using the Azure cloud ecosystem and other Thales Group solutions

  • Actively contribute to the team’s Agile ceremonies

  • Investigate and troubleshoot potential problems that have impact on the team

  • Provide regular feedback related to the project evolution from the DevOps perspective

  • Use technical expertise to recommend various DevOps best practices

 

You need to have:

  • Technical study of Computer Science, Informatics, Mathematics, Electronics or similar

  • At least 3 years of experience as a DevOps engineer, having a solid understanding of the DevOps culture

  • Strong knowledge of Linux and ability to create shell scripts.

  • Proficiency with Git, Gitlab CI/CD pipelines

  • Good competencies of Terraform.

  • Good containerization skills (Docker)

  • Proven skills of Kubernetes & Helm for configuration & deployments (both on-prem and in Microsoft Azure - AKS)

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud

  • Ability to manage artifact repositories (Artifactory, Nexus, etc.) and code quality platforms (SonarQube)

  • Previous exposure to observability/monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Grafana, Prometheus)

  • Troubleshooting curiosity, proactive attitude – looking for answers, solution oriented

  • Experience in working with teams that are using the Agile methodologies

  • Flexibility, adaptability skills in order to evolve in changing environments

Nice to have:

  • Previous collaboration with international/mixed development teams

  • Involvement in configuration management using Ansible

  • FluxCD knowledge

  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform and desire to grow these skills

  • Python scripting competencies

Travel  - 1-2 travels per year to France (if needed)

 

Languages:

  • English – mandatory, professional level

  • French – nice to have
