Our UVX Team are proud to support the Australian Defence customer, designing and manufacturing mission-critical solutions for a range of missions, including:
Sonars for submarines, ships and autonomous vehicles
Radios, secure communications and integrated computing systems for military vehicles
Cloud-based information systems
Helicopter flight avionics
Training and Simulation systems

In this key role you will drive the future of UVX and be the catalyst behind deploying UVX’s Transformation and Performance Plan, arming teams with expertise in process excellence, project management, and problem-solving to accelerate value creation and ignite impactful outcomes.
Located in Thales Australia’s Centre of Excellence at Rydalmere NSW, on Darug land, you will own the journey in every step of the way.
From aligning initiatives with our strategic vision, tracking progress with sharp precision, to celebrating wins through clear, engaging communication, your leadership lights the path forward.
Your role -
Drive strategic planning and seamless delivery of UVX transformation initiatives
Oversee deployment of the Transformation and Performance Plan, supporting teams with process excellence, project management, and problem-solving
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align initiatives with business objectives and track benefits realization
Manage projects effectively across scope, cost, and schedule to ensure successful outcomes
On day one in this role, we'll expect you to bring the following skills, experience and behaviours:
Proven prowess leading complex projects and digital transformations under tight deadlines
Must have working knowledge of ERP systems in a design, supply chain operation and financial business context
Sharp analytical mind and creative problem solver who inspires structured teamwork
Master communicator who turns technical strategy into clear, impactful action
Resilient, tenacious, and boldly consultative with the courage to make waves and stand out
A degree in engineering, industry, or business plus a proven track record in a similar environment

A NV 1 Defence security clearance is required for this role; applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance.
